(6)The icy wind whipped her hair around furiously. She was glad she made the decision to dress warmly or else she might have frozen to death within minutes. How did her life come to this moment, standing on top of her school roof about to do the craziest imaginable. She looked over the edge and felt dizzy. I hope I don't get nausea, she thought to herself.

"Fear not my little bird, everyone has to leave the nest eventually! I promise I won't drop you....at least not on purpose"

"Oh boy, you sure know how to inspire confidence." Her heart was racing, partly by the thought of plummeting to her death. But mostly because of her schoolwork, she can almost image Mrs. Zhang's eyes burrowing into her disapprovingly. Another report to her parents about their daughter's lack of commitment to her future. And how she needs more tutoring, more homework!!! Mrs. Zhang's solution to any problem in life is more schoolwork. Broke up with your boyfriend?: schoolwork will take your mind off your troubles. Feeling a little out of shape?: schoolwork will prevent you from eating too many snacks! I wonder if Mrs. Zhang makes her boyfriend do a pile of schoolwork before they have sex? Yes, schoolwork is the best method of birth control.

"What are you laughing about my little hyena? Here strap yourself in and hold on tight" He repurposed her now urine scented bed sheets both as a makeshift garment and as a harness to keep her more secure.

Or maybe it was just a foreshadow of the wail of terror that emanated from her as The Creature unexpectedly jumped off the roof. They plummeted together for 10 metres until his now grey wings came to life with a loud hum. The litany of swear words that erupted from her mouth would have made even Ginny blush...if they weren't drowned out by the raucous laughter of her bearer.

"My little falling stone, you should have seen the look on your face!" Another round of laughter, which was cut short by a well placed punch by an angry fist, to the stomach.

It took about 30 minutes after her near death experience, for her to feel comfortable again. Another 30 minutes before she dared to open her eyes. Now with her body more relaxed she was able to assess the situation. Oh my god! I am flying!! She finally felt brave enough to take a peek at the ground. 

The apartment buildings were lined up like a set of mahjong tiles. She wondered if anybody could see them flying overhead. She turned her gaze upwards, it was a magnificent sight, the silvery light of the full moon outlined the fluffy clouds. Turning them into mythical beasts, dragons, phoenixes, and cranes. It was by losing herself in these illusions that allowed her to be aware of his body once more.

 Her legs were wrapped around his waist in a pose that might have looked obscene, if they were not hundreds of feet in the air. His body was firm and so warm that she didn't feel a chill. The motion of his wings was a constant hum, and his whole body vibrated with their motion. It was like sitting in a massage chair, it wasn't very long until a warmth began to spread through her body. 

Her skin began to tingle, as the wind brushed against her hair, her entire body shivered. Not from the cold but from her growing arousal, her nipples were hard and she felt a moistness between her legs.
