Bai and Yuan sat in their dorm room watching an almost frantic Ani pacing back and forth. There was no longer any colourization to his wings, they remained a static grey tone. They sat for hours in silence, too tired to even try to console him. Once again, he was overtaken by fatigue, and rested on Ginny's bed.

"What is wrong with him? Was he like this before?" Bai whispered

"No, he was much different, maybe it is the venom from those wasp things", Yuan whispered back.

"Believe me, I have had many toxic boyfriends in the past, don't feel like you need to apologize for him. If he is an asshole, he's an asshole"

"No, it's not like that, I'm guessing they forced him to eat that fruit. That is why he is so obsessed with his ex fiancé. Maybe the wasps affected his memory"

"Believe me Yuan, men who break up badly, can never let go. Better to throw this fish back into the ocean"

"From what I have been told, she, Beth or whatever her name is did something to him, like a love potion to make him agree to marriage. Because she wanted the kingdom."

"Kingdom! Really, now I know why you like him so much!"

"Shut up Bai, I'm serious. Anyway his mother found out about it and counteracted the problem by sealing his heart from love. That monkey somehow tricked me into entrapping him here. With the sole purpose of reversing what Ani's mother had done. Now he is obsessing about Beth again." She went to the computer typed the words Fah'Rey, Kaasaam into the search engine.

Bai watched intently over her shoulder, "what is Kaasaam?"

"Ani told me that was the place where he is from. It says here that it's origin is an ancient form of Hebrew loosely defined as magical. There appears to be some stories associated with the name. Most are very ancient. Look! here is one about a shaman who walks into fire. Another about flying beasts kidnapping children. But nothing substantial here"

Bai glanced out of the window, distracted by movement in the distance.

"I wish I had more answers, if I could get my hands on that goddamn monkey..."

Bai is still looking intently out of the window, "um, Yuan you might get your wish, there is some kind of monkey thing walking this way. But he is not alone....
