The first part of the trek to Türkiye was uneventful for our trio of adventures. Being still within the borders of China, they were able to travel without too much scrutiny. The girls mostly by train, while Ani flew solo, much to the girls chagrin.
The first international border to cross was to enter Tajikistan. Ani needed to fly the girls one by one, Bai was completely unaware of what to expect. She quickly succumbed to the constant vibration of flying with Ani. Her exhalations were so loud on the first flight. Yuan heard her from a great distance away.
For that entire night, beside the campfire Bai stared lovingly at Ani. Ani was too distracted to notice because of his ongoing battle with an unruly goat. The ill tempered beast was not happy having intruders in its midst and took an instant dislike to the Fah'Rey.

It charged at him repeatedly, snorting loudly. A few times Ani was too slow to react and ended up with a nasty bruise as punishment. Of course the girls thought this was hilarious. Bai unhelpfully suggesting that Ani should take it for a flight, it might like him better.
Ani replied he would be too tempted to drop the furry demon. The next few weeks passed quickly Turkmenistan, Georgia then finally Türkiye. Huddled together during the cold mountainous nights they shared bodily warmth. Imperceptibly the lines between friendship and lovers were crossed.
Now they laid at the foothills of Mount Chimaera sharing gentle caresses under the moonlight. who knows what tomorrow would bring, but tonight they had each other.
