"Homesafe and sound! What a thrilling adventure!", proclaimed Ani

He Turned to see the content smiling face of his passenger, her hair was sweaty and she appeared to be out of breath. "Oh! Are you feeling alright my dear it looks like you were having a fever"

"No, I am feeling great"

"Ha ha you are all exhausted like you were the one flying! You appear to have gotten over your fear of heights. See, I told you that you would enjoy it! Are you glad you came?"

"Three times"

"What?"

"Oh Never mind, time to get back to my dorm, I hope Maurice didn't destroy everything"

"Um...about Maurice...I might have misled you a bit when I said he could do your homework"

"How could you lie to me! I am going to be so far behind now!"

"You wouldn't have come with me otherwise, I think it would have been a failure without your intelligence and charm. I think you did amazing, I might actually miss you when I leave to go back home", he looked deeply into her with those stunning emerald eyes. Then surprisingly he bend lower as if he was going to kiss her. She closed her eyes in anticipation, disappointedly he kissed her forehead not her lips. Oh Well that's a start at least.

Ani tossed the fruit into the air and caught it, "I wonder what this tastes like, I'm not sure but I believe it needs to be consumed were the portal was opened. I was a terrible student, I never paid any attention to the details"

The sound of girls' excited voices erupted nearby, the girl gestured to Ani to hide in the bushes.

It was her two roommates they looked frantic. Oh boy, she thought to herself.

"Yuan! Where have you been? Something terrible has happened!", both girls said excitedly.

"I went home to visit my parents, what is going on?" She suspected what the answer was going to be but she was still dreading it.

"Some wild animal got into our room and made a big mess, it smells like a zoo. So disgusting!", started Bai.

"And that's not all" Ginny the fatter of the two girls added, " there was a flock of giant birds, one of them killed a police officer!"

"And the woman's shower is haunted by a ghost, saying lewd things to the girls in there!"

"And some guy named Nibbler as been really desperate to get a hold of you."

Yuan just stood there dumbfounded, this was too much to process. She knew about the room, but flock of birds murdering someone? Ghost in the shower? Nibbler knew where we were going why would he be desperate to contact me? "Very strange! You guys wait here, I need to go to that bush over there, I dropped something in there"

In an urgent whisper, "Ani what is going on? Flock of birds? Ghost ?Nibbler? It doesn't make any sense"

"I don't have any idea either"

"How did you acquire Maurice? Your brother?"

"Actually no, he was a gift from my ex-fiancé"

"Ex-fiancé?"

"Yes it is complicated, we didn't end on good terms, my mother didn't agree to our marriage. I thought it was odd that she would give me a gift."

"What are we going to do now?"

"Catch a ghost, and try and spook him of course"
