Guo emerged from the murky black morass, violently coughing. When the convulsions finally abated, Guo could now assess his situation. He was in a dark, damp cavern, above him inexplicably the water defied gravity and just hung suspended. Looking down the winding passage he could make out the dim flickering of candlelight.
He proceeded towards it cautiously, he slowly peeked around the corner to witness a frail old man at a desk. The figure was busily scribbling something, periodically chuckling to himself. In a frail voice the man said, "come boy, sit, I am far too old to carry you here"

Guo instinctively put his hand on his gun, but it was no longer there. "who are you? what are you?"
Without turning around, "that little toy will not work here, do you know who I am child?"
"I am hardly a child I am 32 years old"
"You carry yourself as a child, impulsive behaviour, uncontrollable temper. Maybe it is time you grow up, ah maybe it's not entirely your fault you are this way. But there is still time to redeem your past sins"
"I ask you one more time old man, who are you?"
"Who am I? I am your grandfather, now come and sit!" He responded in a harsh tone.
Guo sat opposite the ancient man, refilled the man's teacup before filling one for himself.
"You are here, so I can only assume you know something about why. How much did that monkey tell you?"
"He told me about you, about my special situation, about my sister Ginny"
"First of all Ginny is not your sister, she is your aunt. And her name is Jean"
