Fire erupted from the ice all around Guo, he could smell the singeing of hair and the intense heat stinging his eyes. From somewhere behind him, was a voice of a girl with more fury than the raging inferno.
"I demand you relinquish the elixir to me, I am it's creator, it is mine by rights!!"
The looming voice of the guardian boomed in response, "there is a corruption in you girl, you have the stench of death within you. I cannot, nor will I place such powers in such malevolent hands. You both are unworthy, begone from this place!!"
There was a blood curdling screech of frustration, then the blast of a gun. Ahead Guo watched as an eruption of crimson appeared on the Guardian's neck. It roared first in surprise, then in pain, it began to thrash around wildly.
The movement caused more damage as a geyser of blood burst from the wound. It was so intense that it doused the fire surrounding Guo and painted him head to toe in gore. To his left, he saw the murderous girl darting towards the Guardian.
She picked up a flask lying on the ice. There were two more such flasks a little further away to his right. The girl was making her way in that direction, Guo decided to intercept her. He caught up to her with no difficulty, knocked her flying with a kick to the face. She lied on the ice, blood flowing from her nose and lip.
"Hand me that, and you can go in peace, I don't care what you have done to me or my family, this madness needs to end"
