"Only in appearance, let me begin at the beginning. I was an alchemist here in Kaasaam. I lived a very happily married, uneventful life, until two human girls entered my shop. Your grandmother Ginette and Jean,they were identical twins. 

I was astounded immediately by the novelty. Even though they were twins their personalities couldn't have been any more different. Your grandmother was shy, insecure, but very good natured. Jean was precocious, intelligent, with a certain wildness to her. She took great interest in my work and over the next five years became my apprentice. 

She had a natural talent for alchemy. But she continued to push against the boundaries of morality. Many of her experiments were frowned upon by the residing Fah'Rey. One of her growing unhealthy obsessions was me. 

She became jealous whenever I would spend time with my family. At first she resorted to creating incidents to draw my attention to the laboratory. But she wanted a more permanent connection, so she created her "love potion" I am not even sure how the serum works, something to do with pheromone receptors. Anyway her plan was to trick me into imbibing it in her presence. 

But do to an unfortunate circumstance I ended up drinking it in the presence of Ginette instead of her. The council of elders chose to exile both the human girls back to Earth. This of course was devastating to me in the state I was in. 

I frantically worked on a remedy that would allow me to follow my love to Earth. In my obsession I caused the death of many test subjects, something I can never forgive myself for.Eventually I was successful, it took a tortuous three years. Another two years to locate her. Then I did something I am not proud of...
