Rescuing Ani

Yuan attempted to dial the number Ani gave her, but there was no answer.

Bai scoffed, "Typical man, never answers their phone unless they want sex. Why don't you use your stalker device to locate your boyfriend?"

"Okay", looking at her phone screen she became puzzled. "This can't be right, the app is showing his location to be 4 hours away. We promised to inform each other if something out of the ordinary was going to happen"

"Men are unreliable Yuan, maybe he has another girl on the side"

"Why are you so negative! He is not like that! He might be in trouble, I am going to check it out"

"You are so far behind in your schoolwork, maybe you should worry more about yourself"

"School seems unimportant right now, Ginny is missing, Ani is missing, these wasp creatures are everywhere! We need answers, if Ginny shows up call me right away"

"I am not letting you go alone, not after I saw that thing in our room. Let me change into my ass kicking clothes!"

It was late in the evening when they arrived at the location where Ani's signal pinged. They decided to be cautious, stayed at a distance. Bai climbed a nearby tree to get a better vantage point. After observing for a few minutes she climbed back down. "It's the right place there are two of those wasps. Ani is there as well, but he is slumped unmoving in a chair. I cannot tell if he is just unconscious or badly hurt."

"I don't know if we can handle two of those things, we were only able to kill that other one because we took him by surprise"

"Yuan, we need to come up with a plan fast"

"I think I have a solution ", she pulled out her phone and dialled the number for the fruit expo. "Hi, could you please connect me with Mrs Yeung she is the head of security. It is very urgent, yes I know she is a busy woman, just tell her it's the girl with the dragonfly"

A few minutes later the voice of a very frustrated Mrs. Yeung was on the line. "You know we made a deal right? It hasn't even been two days, why are you trying to ruin my life?!"

"I am truly sorry Mrs Yeung I have the utmost respect for you. I wouldn't bother you if wasn't a dire situation!"

"Okay what is going on?"

"Ani is in trouble! There are some kind of wasp monstrosities. They probably kidnapped my roommate, and they also have Ani prisoner. I am 4 hours away from you, I don't know who else to ask for help, I am not strong enough to fight them!"

"I don't know what I can do? I am an old woman myself and I cannot spare any staff...wait...send me your location...okay good we have a shipment if peaches leaving in that direction. I will send something that might help"

"Thank you Mrs Yeung!! I promise I will repay your kindness!"

"Just don't put yourselves in anymore danger, that is all I ask for"

It took a little over five hours for the truck of peaches to arrive. The driver exited the truck, "you must be the pain in the ass she was talking about" , he handed her a small chest, inside was a flare gun and two balloons that were filled with petrol by the smell of them. "She told me to provide a distraction for you. You have one shot at this, I'm no fighter and I have a family to worry about. Good luck! Text me when you are in position."

Standing outside the door where Ani was being kept, she sent the text. The truck driver started honking his horn and shouted at the two wasps using a megaphone. The girls opened the door and slowly entered, the two wasps were distracted by the commotion outside. Bai being an accomplished volleyball player was the thrower. Her aim was accurate, she hit both of the wasps with the petrol bombs. 

Yuan shot the flare gun, she missed the mark, but the flare still ignited the first wasp because of the fumes. The second quickly caught aflame as well, do to its proximity to the first. The Creatures writhed around attempting to put out the flames. The two girls quickly grabbed the chair the dormant Ani was on and dragged it out of the room. 

They reached the Hallway leaving the screeches of the dying wasps in their wake. But an imposing figure stood in theirway blocking their escape. It was difficult to make out what it was with all the smoke billowing out from the room. In an act of desperation, her eyes stinging from the smoke, Yuan screamed a cry of despair and fired the flare gun....
