An Unlikely Partnership

Adventurer Guo scrutinized his new traveling companion with distaste. The fact he allowed this abomination of nature to live, was a testament to how much he needed him. The foundation of his existence collapsed beneath his feet. He needed some semblance of order returned to him, and this thing was the only path available at the moment. 

Time was running out on his ability to get things back under control. It will only be a matter of time until people in his department start asking questions and find the dead body rotting in his office. 

Firstly he needed to ascertain the source of these insect creatures. Then eliminate that source, he must harden himself to this resolve and let nothing stand in his way of restoring order. They were standing in the dormitory, the epicentre of all of his current troubles. 

The abomination told him this was the location where the primary breach happened. A breach he caused, part of some political machination from his world, Kaasaam. One of the "families" was attempting a power grab through subterfuge. Using trickery to start a civil war amongst the ruling family to weaken them. 

The abomination's most valuable trait was cunning, and as long as he proved himself useful he will keep him around. A thorough investigation of the dorm did not reveal any new info, except that it was inhabited not too long ago. Maybe if the monkey wasn't so noisy they might have made amore silent approach and take the inhabitants unawares.

"Ooh ooh ooh look at this!" The monkey was at the computer terminal, he was scrolling through search history. "It appears that the girls were doing some research on Kaasaam. Very recent as well, we must have just missed them." Guo assessed the situation, if I were to leave in a hurry and I was attempting to remain unseen. Where would I go? The roof!
