The Indecent Angel

"I look stupid, I feel stupid", Ani protested

"Shut up you big baby! You wanted to see her, this is the only way", mocked Bai.

"Yes, but couldn't you have purchased a costume for a male?" Ani stood looking at his reflection in the glass in the elevator , he was perhaps the saddest Angel anybody has ever seen. "My skirt is too short, it is indecent!"

"Cover yourself up with the bouquet of flowers, just be cool, nobody will notice", Bai tried not to giggle but she failed.

They exited the elevator and walked to the central nurse's station. The lady behind the counter analyzed the two visitors, a puzzled expression projected on her face. "State your purpose"

Bai spoke up, "we are here to visit our friend in room 463"

"No!"

"No what?!"

"No sexy business!", pointing at the indecent Angel, "she looks like prostitute! No sexy here"

Ani began to chuckle, then whispered to Bai, "did she just call me sexy?", looking very proud of himself.

"No, she thinks you're a whore", then to the nurse, "no, it is a misunderstanding. My friend here", gesturing at Ani, " is just here to cheer our friend up"

"I know exactly what kind of cheering up, this harlot does" her face displayed absolute disgust.

Ani acted offended, "madam! I can assure you that I am a good wholesome...um...girl. I am only dressed like this as a joke to brighten her spirits."

"So your not here to visit a man?"

Bai interjected before Ani could make the situation worse. "No no no we are here to visit our friend Yuan in room 463"

"Oh! I see, my apologies, is that the girl who was shot?"

"Yes"

"She is a very lucky girl, that bullet would have struck her heart if it wasn't for that heart medallion she was wearing. How does something like that happen to such a sweet girl? I heard they still haven't apprehended the perpetrator. Apparently he was a police officer who succumbed to the pressures of his job. Killed one of his subordinates as well, gruesome business. I believe she will make a full recovery, but her future in athletics is over with that shattered collarbone. Poor thing!"

Ani could not help himself, he laughed with a vigour, "don't worry she is no athlete!"

The nurse scowled, " fifth door on the left, only one person at a time!"

"You go Ani, I will remain here and talk with this lovely woman. I can see Yuan anytime"

"You are not allowed to bring flowers into the room!" Without thinking Ani tossed the nurse the bouquet. Her eyes immediately found his all too manly genitalia, not concealed enough by his indecent skirt. She was about to scream for security, Bai deftly reached over and pushed the code blue alarm for a room in the opposite direction. Mayhem ensued and the Angel was forgotten. Ani quickly entered the room and locked the door behind him.

The room was very dark, Ani was having difficulty locating his friend, "Yuan!" He whispered loudly.

"Wei!!! I told you I am dying!!!", said a voice in the darkness

"Nonsense! Stop being foolish!", Replied another

"I'm dying! An Angel has come to take me!"

A light turns on, "oh, I guess you are correct", old eyes scrutinize the indecent Angel. " I think I will let him take me as well!!", Looking directly at his protruding manliness.

Ani grabbed a nearby pillow to cover himself, "madams I am not here to take anybody, just to visit my friend!"

"Oh, too bad", they both responded

"Ani!!!! Over here!!!", From a voice in the far corner.

He darted away from the leering octogenarians, "just remember raisins are sweeter than grapes!!!", The two cackled mirthfully.

He reached Yuan's bedside, " oh my sweet, foolish, brave girl! Look what you have done to yourself! I am not worthy such a sacrifice"

"I'll be okay Ani, oh my god! Why are you dressed like this?" Feeling her face starting to feel warm"

"Bai acquired it for me"

"Oh my! How did you even get in here wearing that?"

It was just then the security arrived banging on the door, demanding the door be opened. The two elderly occupants promptly yelled at them to go away and leave them in peace. Nobody else was in here. After the guards left, the one named Wei winked mischievously at Ani, "you owe us a kiss for that! I hope your little brother still has strength after you give her your treatment", again they laughed mischievously.

It was the first time in his life that Ani felt fear....
