Sarah, Rafe, and Raven all piled into Rafe's car and drove to Kelce's. Sarah and Raven made small talk while Rafe was trying his hardest not to glance at Raven, he couldn't stop looking at her, admiring her.
"Rafe she knows, you don't have to pretend you don't wanna stare at me," Raven let out a small laugh.
"Yeah and can I say-" Sarah starts but Rafe cuts her off.
"No, you cannot," He put his hand up and Sarah rolled her eyes.
Rafe put his hand on Raven's thigh and they continued driving to Kelce's. They came to a stop sign and Rafe leaned over the center console and kissed Raven, causing her to smile.
"Can you please drive?" Sarah groaned.
"Shut the fuck up, Sarah," Rafe flipped her off and pulled into his driveway.
Sarah saw Topper and got out of the car quickly with a grin on her face, Raven watching the two walk inside together.
"You look good, Raven Amber," He smirked, then attached their lips.
"Thank you, Rafe Andrew," She smiled, planting another kiss on his lips.
He got out and opened the car door for her and she let out a small laugh.
"I could've done it myself," She smiled, getting out.
"No, you couldn't have, the child lock is on still," He smirked at her and she laughed.
"Damn, you were holding me hostage," She rolled her eyes and he put his arm around her, kissing the top of her head.
"Whatever you say, baby," The two walked into the house, and they saw smirks on the girl's faces, while the two boys' jaws were dropped.
"Back the fuck up," Kelce's eyes widened.
Raven and Rafe took three steps back.
"Not literally-" Kelce sighed, causing the couple to laugh, "When the hell did this start?!"
"A month and a half ago," Rafe shrugged, sitting on the couch, pulling Raven into his lap, his hands resting on either thigh.
"You guys have been dating for a month and a half?" Topper raised his eyebrows but handed Rafe a beer.
"Oh God no, that happened today, officially," Raven laughed, taking a drink of Rafe's beer.
"Really? You're gonna do that?" He asked her.
"What?" She asked innocently.
"Oh, you know exactly what," He roughly took the beer out of her hands, causing her to smirk.
"Why are YOU not phased by this? Did you know?" Kelce turned to Kayla.
"I didn't know they were dating, I saw them kiss at your party a few days ago, so I had a feeling it was coming," Kayla laughed.
"Yeah, we fucked right after that too," Rafe smirked, causing Raven to smack him.
"Yeah, no, gross, I do NOT wanna hear about you two fucking," Sarah fake gagged.
"You don't wanna hear about how I-" Rafe started but Raven smacked him.
"Shut the HELL up," Raven laughed and Rafe kissed her.
"You guys are going to be so fucking insufferable," Topper groaned and Rafe shot him a glare.
"They, you know, at least he's not fucking people up anymore, you know?" Sarah laughed, taking a drink of her beer.
"Exactly. Thank you, Sarah," He tilted his bottle towards her.
The group sat there for hours, talking and laughing, Rafe genuinely laughing and having a good time. It made Raven happy, most of the time she'd known him, he'd been miserable, but tonight he was different, he was happy and she was happy he was.
"Do like all this time, you were pretending?" Topper asked Rafe.
"No, I hated her, with every bone in my body, because I knew exactly who she was, she was me," He took a swig of his second beer, "But then I realized, she was exactly like me."
"What do you mean?" Sarah asked.
"She's the black sheep of her family, Sarah, she has NO one, we're all she's got, "Rafe spoke of her like she wasn't there, "She helps me, she knows how I work, she underSTANDS me."
Raven smiled at the way that Rafe talked about her, she laid her head in the crook of her neck, smiling, planting a small kiss. Rafe tightened the hold he had on her.
"Rafe, do you love her?" Topper asked, but Rafe ignored him.
He didn't know. He didn't know what love was. He cared about Raven, he knew that much, he knew that Raven was for him, they fit. He just didn't know if that was love.
"Hello?" Topper raised an eyebrow.
"I think we're going to go," Rafe sighed, putting his bottle down.
Raven was half asleep, she had no idea what was going on, and she didn't even hear Topper's question.
"Hey man, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to piss you off," Topper sighed.
"You didn't Raven is half asleep, it's time for us to go," Rafe replied, trying to maintain whatever answer was boiling up in him, "Hey, get up we're going to go," He was soft with Raven, he didn't want to rush her, knowing she was tired.
Raven just nodded in response, slowly getting up and blowing a kiss to Sarah and Kayla.
"Are you staying?" Rafe asks Sarah and she nods with a smile, "I'll see you tomorrow then."
He walks out with Raven walking at her pace, helping her into the car. He shut her door and then got in the driver's seat, turning the car on.
"Hey," He turned to her and she turned to him, studying his face.
"You okay?" She asked.
"Yeah," He gave her a small smile and studied her, her eyes specifically, "You know I care about you, right?"
"Well, yeah, I don't think you'd do a lot of stuff you do for me if you didn't," she let out a small laugh.
"Okay, good," He kissed her forehead and drove off back to Tannyhill.
When they arrived back, Ward was pacing the front door, then saw Rafe, Raven seeing the anger in Ward's eyes.
"Oh fuck me-" Rafe groaned and got out, and so did Raven.
"Raven, go inside please, I need to talk to Rafe, alone," Ward spoke to her emotionless.
She just nodded and looked at Rafe, not breaking eye contact with him until she got inside. She shut the door behind her quietly but didn't move after.
