"You don't want me around, you've made that very clear," Raven sighed, focusing on the voice of the rain hitting one of the tin containers.
"Look, I'm sorry, I pushed you away when dad died, I shouldn't have because you needed someone just as much as I did," He sighed, taking a drink out of whatever was in his cup.
"How long did that take you to find out?" She raised an eyebrow and he just stared at her.
"When I saw you earlier," He mumbled.
"Wow," Her heart sank, she couldn't believe him, she couldn't believe that she ran to him, "I need to leave."
"No, don't run, stay, please, I really- I want to talk-," He grabbed her arm and she wanted to pull away, "I miss you."
"No you don't, you miss Dad, and I'm the only thing that's left," She started to cry again and she saw her brother's face fall.
"Raven, please, can we just talk, I haven't spoken to you this much in nine months, come on," He let out a small nervous laugh, causing her to glare at him.
"None of this is funny," She glared and he nodded.
"How's your relationship? He asked, and she loosened up a little.
"Other than today?" She sighed, sitting back down.
"Yeah, I'm actually curious about this too, what do you two talk about, you're nothing alike," JJ chuckled and Raven looked at him.
"You're wrong, he's exactly like me, he is me, and he cares about me, we talk about life together, because he actually fucking listens to me," She sighed, reaching for JJ's blunt, "He'll roll me blunts, as a love language I think."
"Does he make you happy?" John B stared at her, he wasn't sure what he wanted the response to be, he wasn't sure if he was ready to know that Rafe Cameron made his sister happy.
"He is the reason I'm still living," She took a long drag of the blunt, "The only reason I'm not fucking dead yet."
"Then why did you run?" John B took another drink.
"Because that's what I do, John B., I run, I leave when I get scared or angry or sad," She sighs, giving the blunt back to JJ.
"I can't believe I'm about to say this, but you need to tell him," He sighed.
"Tell him what?"
"That you love him, Raven, you even told ME you love him, and I know that you do."
"I don't need love advice from you John B.," She bit the inside of her cheek.
"I'm just pointing out that you should fix it, so you don't fuck it up if he really does make you that happy," He sighed.
She just nodded and braced herself for her question, because she was more afraid of asking it for the answer.
"Can I crash here tonight?" She clenched her teeth together and he stared at her for a second.
"Uh," He sat there for a second, "Yeah, yeah you can."
"Thanks," She sat back on the couch and sighed.
"How's living on figure 8?" JJ took a puff of his blunt and handed it to John B.
"I get five thousand dollars a week, just for sometimes sleeping at Tannyhill," Raven gave JJ a small smile and John B's eyes widened.
"And you use all of it a week? What the fuck are you buying?"
"A cockroach army," She stared at him, causing him to laugh.
"Worth the money in my opinion," JJ laughed, and Raven nodded.
"Thanks," She started playing with her fingers and didn't know how to keep the conversation going, "I don't do much, I lay in bed a lot, sex, money, drugs, so on and so forth," Her voice was light, she didn't like where the conversation was going, she was nervous.
"HEY BOYS!" Kiara and Pope started walking up to the house and Raven winced, "What're we- why the hell is she here."
"Ki- She's had a rough day, go easy on her," John B sighed.
"Yeah she looks it," She sat next to him on the couch and Pope next to Raven.
"This is weird," Pope spoke up.
"I agree," Raven mumbled and everyone was silent.
"So why did you come back?" Kiara stared at her.
"Rafe and I got in a fight," Raven sighed and Kiara glared at her.
"You're dating the enemy's son, better yet you're dating the enemy," She scoffed and Raven started to get angry.
"You don't know SHIT Kiara, shut your fucking mouth," She glared at her and stood up, walking out of the screen porch.
Raven pulled her phone out and saw twenty-three missed calls from Rafe and fifty-four texts from him, apologizing and telling her to come back. She started to cry again because she felt bad for just leaving. She had never done that before and it made her feel horrible. She wanted to call him but didn't want him mad at her for leaving without saying anything, but she also didn't want him coming to The Chateau.
"I might not stay," Raven turned around, looking into the porch.
"You were going to let her STAY?" Kiara yelled and Raven just rolled her eyes.
"Yes. Kiaram I was. Because she's my fucking sister," John B shot back at her, and looked over at Raven, "Are you sure?"
"Yeah," She nodded, "I'll uhm, see you around."
"Hold on," He stood up and opened the door to hug her, "Come back and hang out, okay?"
"I- Uhm- Sure, yeah," She gave her brother a small smile and he smiled back at her, "Thank you."
"I'll see you around," He smiled at her and she walked off, down the dirt road.
"Raven!" She heard a muffled yell and she looked around, the rain starting again, "RAVEN!"
"Rafe?" She looked around, the rain getting harder until she finally saw him, like a speck.
They were walking towards each other, rain drenching them both, like the two were in a movie, until she realized, he wasn't walking, she was just now running.
