The two took the ferry to the mainland, in their pajamas, just as Raven wanted. She had done this when she was younger with her dad and brother, and really just wanted to be able to feel like a kid again for once.

"It's cold," Raven laughed, her head on Rafe's shoulder, while they sat on the top deck.

"We can go inside," He smiled.

"No, I want the ferry experience, it's more fun," She smiled at him.

"You're too pure for me," He laughed, and softly kissed the top of her head.

The ferry arrived on the mainland, and the couple got off, getting an Uber to the nearest Waffle House.

"Why Waffle House?" Hey asked her, as he opened the door for her.

"Because I feel like it's just socially acceptable here to come in your pajamas, iHop is too classy, and boring," She laughed.

"Always something crazy happening here," The two were sat in a booth, both ordering coffees, "How do you drink it black?"

"I like it how my soul is," He joked and she rolled her eyes.

"Oh EW, you're so lame," She laughed, their feet touching under the table.

They both looked at the menu and Raven smiled, her eyes glancing over what her dad used to get, and then her body froze.

"Hey, don't worry, he can't find you," Rafe noticed she tensed up.

Those words were enough for her, she trusted him, and she knew that he wouldn't lie to her. The waitress came back and took their orders, They both got the same thing, but Raven also got a side of fries.

"It's 9:00 am on a Thursday, Raven, what the hell," Rafe laughed at her, and she just smiled.

"I wanted shitty fries," She smiled and he just continued to laugh, "You know, I like your laugh."

"Oh really?" He gave her a cocky grin.

"Yeah," She smiled at him.

Their food arrived at the table and they both started eating fairly quickly.

"Oh, you have to be fucking kidding me," Raven sunk down into the booth, staring towards the door.

"What?" Rafe didn't take her eyes off of him.

"My brother and his friends are here," She watched them, to make sure he didn't notice her.

"Are you serious?" Rafe slowly started to turn around and Raven smacked him.

"Don't I don't want him to see you either," She spoke through her teeth.

"Okay," He turned back around and sunk into the booth.

The waitress looked over their way and started walking over, causing Raven to swear under her breath.

"Uh, hi, ma'am, I hate to bother you guys but this gentleman says he's your brother and really needs to talk to you?" She walked up to their table, and Raven's eyes widened.

"Gladly," Raven felt her anger rise.

"Do you want me to come with you?" Rafe touched her arm, and she shook her head no, "Okay."

"Outside, now," Raven pointed towards the door.

"Raven you need to get out of that house-" John B spoke up when they went outside.

"How did you know I was here," She glared at him.

"I tracked your phone," He replied.

"I have my location off-"

"Yeah that doesn't stop Pope," He sighed, and continued talking, "You need to get away from Ward, he ki-"

"FUCK JOHN B, I KNOW, YOU DON'T NEED TO ACT LIKE YOU CARE ABOUT ME ALL THE SUDDEN TO REMIND ME THAT HE'S DEAD," Raven yelled and John B stared at her.

"How did you know-"

"I heard him and Rafe talking about how you knew-" She took a deep breath, and choked back the tears, "He's not even here right now, he's in the fucking Bahamas or something."

"Raven come home," He sighed.

"No, fuck you, this isn't- that's not how this works-" She stared at him in disbelief, "You don't get to just walk back into my fucking life after you've spent the past year telling all your friends that you hate me and act like I don't exist."

"I didn't tell them-" He started and she glared at him.

"You were my brother and I fucking needed you," Her voice cracked, and his face fell, "Instead of fucking being there for each other, you wrote me off."

"I'm s-"

"I'm not done," She continued, "My life is pretty damn good right now, I live with my best friend, I have a boyfriend, I'm so goddamn in love it hurts, and you don't get to just come fuck that all up."

"You and Rafe are dating?" He stated at her, seeing anger rise in him.

"The fuck are you going to do about it John B, Rafe didn't kill our father, WARD killed him, I love him. You can't change that," She let a few tears fall.

Instead of saying anything, he hugged her. She hated the feeling of him hugging her because of all the pain he caused, but there was a small piece of her that wanted to hug him back. It felt like someone screaming in a dark cave, the feeling she had to hug him.

"I'm getting you out of that fucking house," John B said to her, causing fear to wash over her.

"Get the fuck off of me," She pushed him away and went inside, sitting back down at the table, "We need to leave."

"Alright, yeah, I paid so we can," He stood up and walked with her back out and to the car.

"What did he want?"

"To tell me something I already fucking know," She sighed loudly, and buckled her seat belt, "Can you just go back-"

"Yeah," He gave her a sympathetic smile, getting the ferry pass out of his wallet.

She watched him as he drove, studying his actions, She had admitted it to her brother of all people, that she loved Rafe. It felt like a weight lifted off her shoulders, to be able to admit to herself that she was in love with Rafe Cameron and there was nothing she could do to change that.
