Mercedes decided to take matters into her own hands about Jean. Especially if her big brother is involved in this. Three days later, she began to call a few contacts she made networking a few years ago. She told each of them to meet her on the steps of Jean's building.  She called a car and had the driver take her there. She was dressed in a bright yellow Hollow Out Sweater Dress with Sexy Waist Detail that make skin pop. She had her hair done in long box braids and silver hoop earrings. She completed her outfit with a pair of bright yellow Jimmy Choos velvet platform sandals. 

When the car pulled up, she could see through the tinted window everyone she had called showed up. They were waiting while talking amongst themselves, wondering what news she had to tell them exclusively. The driver let her out, giving her a thumbs up, before he closed the door and headed back to the driver's door. He got in as she walked up to the steps and stopped on the third row from the sidewalk.

"Mecedes, what's going on? Why are we here?" A guy asked in confusion. He owned Music Is Magick. vlog channel and someone she met at the beginning of her career. Before she could speak, Jean Baptiste walked up behind the group of musical and entertainment journalists. He sneered at her and cleared his throat. "That's what I want to know." He asked with an attitude as he stood next to her brother. 

She glanced at the two of them in surprise before quickly masking her expression with a smirk. "I am here to give an official statement about my career, Matt." She said, answering the guy from Music Is Magick as she focused on Jean and Christian. She directed her attention back to Matt and the others before continuing. "As you know, my contract was bought without my knowledge, due to me not renewing it. But that's because the Hummel clan has always been family to me, and we have always been good in respecting each other. Especially when it comes to music business, my career, and honestly being up front what we wanted from each other about the two." She explained, putting emphasis on what she was saying while glancing at Jean and Christian.

"I wanted you all to know that for seven business days my contract will be under Jean Baptiste's company. After that I am a free agent once more." She said a light shrug and a smirk upon her burgundy-colored lips. "Due to the nefarious ways and reasons my contract was acquired by Mr. Baptiste, I am going to fight for it and my career. I will use these seven days to promote 'You, Me, We' and my album's third and final single, Happy Forever Ever'.  And I am going to continue to work with Artie Abrams, who has worked on all of my videos. And I will continue to have former runway and print model, Sam Evans continue to play my love interest." She said before letting her smirk soften into a sincere smile. "Especially since he's my real-life love interest." She admitted, causing the group of entertainment and music journalists and vloggers to gasp and murmur to each other.

Christian and Jean shared looks of anger as Mercedes narrowed her eyes some before arching an eyebrow at them. "Wait, Mercedes!" Matt shouted, shooting his hand up. " Love interest? Real love interest? Since when? How long? What are you trying to say?" He rambled as he continued to record her on his smartphone. She giggled some and began to blush as she grew shy. "Yes, real love interest. As in my boyfriend. Since we bonded during the first creation of 'At First Sight'. So, what I'm trying to say is that I am deeply in love, and I want the world to know." She explained with pride.

Matt let his eyes dart back and forth, trying to add it up. "That means you've been together for a year and some months. What about Noah?" He asked, causing everyone to nod and murmur once again.  She gestured with her hands to calm them all down before sighing contently. "I went to the ESPYs with Noah as a favor and because someone tried to cause drama between Sam and me. Then Jean, along with the person who tried to end Sam and me, tried to be messy and cause more drama. But no go. It's Sam and I, and it's going to always be Sam." Mercedes said, staring intently at Jean with a dark look in her eyes.

"That's all for now. After the premiere of my final video, I will get back with you all. Have a good day, everyone!" She said in a cheerful tone before walking back downstairs. She began to walk past her brother and Jean before whispering loud enough for their ears only. "I'm just getting started. I'm done with you both once I pay you back. You'll see that you've fucked with the wrong one. No more, Ms. Nice Girl." She told them in a calm voice as she headed towards the car. 

The driver was already out and at the back passenger door with it open for her. She thanked him and stepped back inside.  The group of journalists and vloggers rushed past Christian and Jean, almost knocking them over as they hurried to the car to try to get more from Mercedes. She just waved bye to them before pushing the button for the window to go up while the car drove off.

Artie, Unique, Marley, Santana, Lauren, Brittany were there with the Hummel family, and Sam's family as they all sat around Sam. He went over how they were going to turn the final video's fake wedding into a real one. And it began with Sam preparing a real proposal to Mercedes.
