It'd been two weeks.

Which meant in those two weeks, he also hadn't said much to Amerie. She worried about him, seeing the constant weight thrown at him in such short amounts of time. It seemed to be one thing after another, and all he did was work within that time.

If he wasn't home, which seemed to be his new norm, he was out at his warehouses or finding himself in different meetings with those he had connects with. He didn't verbalize anything that was going on to Amerie who was undeniably very concerned, and although she heard his words when he made it clear he wanted to know if he wasn't acting right, she didn't cash in on them.

She allowed him his space and time, and allowed him the usage of her body daily as his way of release. She knew about the drugs he intook regularly again, knew the violence and terror he was responsible for that became reported on the news daily. Yet still, she let him be because she knew regardless of her words and thoughts towards anything, his mind just wasn't here.

And currently, he sat focused in on all of what his father laid out in front of him. He sat clearly over the conversation that had yet to start, being that it was one he felt he was having every single day.

"She's being watched, and that's the main issue we got right now. If Amerie got that car just last month, that means eyes been on her for that amount of time. You missed that, them eyes could've easily been headshots." Elias glanced up to his son whose body slouched in his seat with his eyes glued to his phone.

"I learned that shit two weeks ago, you not saying nothing important to me right now." He spoke so nonchalantly to his father who eyed him.

"You learned it and since then, you've been moving like you hot in the ass. Everyday there's a body on the news, and you're tryna play like you don't have all means to be caught. You have no crutch, and the one you did you fucked over so now you have to watch out for her too." His father pointed, although again, Syre only waved him off.
