Y/n's POV
I cough and spit traces of blood onto the floor as I hold my stomach, I hate still feeling it trail down my throat. I look up at Gojo, his eyes lost, looking out the broken ceiling in silence. He has been like that for the last 20 minutes. I stand up slowly, hoping there's a working phone in the lobby to call for a driver.
"Do you know when they'll kill me?" He turns back to me. The question catching me off guard,
"I don't know..." My eyes lock onto his, and I can see the pain behind his question. "I know they won't kill you as long as you are more useful than threatening." I feel a lump in my throat at the way his eyes look so different to the way they used to look, they used to look full of light, but now they seem hazy. "Just keep living like you have until today."
"Then what about you... are they not scared of you?" He whispers.
I can't help the sad smile that forms on my face. "No... they have no reason to be. It would just take a word to take care of me, Gojo." I look away, not wanting to keep talking about that possibility. I envy that he has a choice.
"Why don't you just kill him?" His words are not something I expected him to say. Its not like I have not thought about it before.
"Kill him?" I take steps towards the lobby. "Yaga?"
He nods, walking with me.
"I wish it was that simple. Yaga was present that day, but... there were more people present during the vow. I've at least taken the command of 6 different voices, but I'm sure there are more."
"You don't know who they are, do you?"
I shake my head no.
"Don't you remember anything about that day?" He leans on the doorframe.
"Yaga told me the vow happened before I turned 1." I pick up the phone and freeze, not knowing who to call. I don't want to see or be able to hear my father.
"I already ask someone to pick us up, they'll be here any minute" he says, hanging up the phone from its base. "You don't have to call him. They'll be here soon." Gojo's eyes are glued to me. "Your eyes change when they get a command, don't they?"
"Do they?" I think back, and it makes sense. "I thought some days they looked different, but... I dont know."
I squint my eyes as the headlights of a car go through the window.
"We should go," he says, heading to the exit.I cant let him leave like this so I stop him; I grab his wrist. He flinches away from my touch, his eyes quickly returning to me as I put both my hands back.
Ah... I forgot.
"Sorry." I turn my polarity off, making sure to whisper. "If things go south, I'll give you a heads up. So, if I do, leave. Go as far as you can."
His jaw clenches looking away from me. walking out of the building without saying a word as he gets in the car
