Megumi POV:

"Oh but he already summoned Mahoraga, six eyed freak." Sukuna replies with a smile.

I feel like for a couple of seconds I cease to exist, becoming so small, so guilty. I almost want to look away as I see him peek at me over his shoulder, his blue eyes widened and shaky. He doesn't need to speak for me to understand what he is asking, he is pleading for me to tell him it isn't true. I feel like all I can hear is static as my eyes glaze with tears.

"I am sorry..." I mumble making his eyes shut tightly before looking back at Sukuna, I can hear the footsteps, the energy of Mahoraga coming closer and that only makes me feel numb. I knew this was my faith. Gojo was aware of how my cursed technique works, he knows...

He knows.

"Y/n is dying because of her vow." Sukuna speaks and I feel my head go quiet as I process his words. "Mahoraga will soon collect your child." I can hear him smiling even without looking and it only makes my guts turn. "I know by now she is probably bleeding out. If you leave to save her; I will kill Megumi. If you stay to save Megumi I will kill her in her unconscious state" He takes a step towards him, his hands in his pockets. "Unless..."

I can hear the way Gojo holds his breath."Unless?"he whispers and I feel a pang of pain in my heart as I hear his defeated voice. Gojo never... I never heard him sound anything that wasn't confident.

I freeze as I feel Mahoraga approach, the shadows around me always become all consuming.

"We made a deal." Sukuna moves quickly as Mahoraga appears over us. I almost want to run away. But it would only bring my life to end sooner. Mahoraga jumps down from the street but Sukuna's hands come up I can feel the air being expelled as he slices Mahoraga and kick the remainings away, like it wasn't even there a second ago. "If you accept my deal. Then the kid lives."

Why is he tossing Mahoraga away?

Why does he want me alive?

"No." Gojo speaks with no hesitations as he takes a step forward before suddenly something switches on his stance, his shoulders come up in tension as everything about him falters, his breathing, even his cursed energy.

"She is dying isn't she?" Sukuna speaks. "It would be so easy for me to go look for her cold body... stomp her head in while you try and save your child." He speaks and I can feel bile coming up my throat as he says that in a monotone voice.

His words aren't an exaggeration...

He doesn't say that to plant fear in us...

It is a fact.

"What is the deal?" I ask and it makes Gojo look back at me with a clenched jaw.

"I won't kill Megumi if you go help Y/n... I won't even hurt him." He speaks to Gojo. " I vow that if I do I will lose my cursed techniques, all you have to say is that we have a deal." Sukuna looks at the hole as the sound of Mahoraga steps come towards us.

"Gojo..."

"Megumi, we cannot trust him!" He yells at me as he launches Mahoraga away.

"I will die..." I scream back. "I know that... I will die and that's alright, you know I would." I feel my eyes finally let down a tear. "It's part of being Mahoraga's wielder. But she... You can't defeat him alone. Take the deal." He is about to speak when Mahoraga comes back, I step back as Sukuna doesn't stop him.
