Y/n's POV

I keep my eyes shut as a stinging sensation threatens to wake me. My fingers trace along the pain, feeling slippery as I do. What? I sit up and turn on the lamp, my palms smeared with blood, nail mark wounds evident. I didn't do this... Satoru. I look next to me, finding the left side of the bed empty. Where did he go?

I sit up, healing the wounds, cupping my hands together to not dirty his white sheets, and head to the bathroom to wash the blood off my hands. The sink water turns red as I do.

Is he still here?

"Satoru, are you home?" I yell out, but there is no answer.

I walk through the long dark hall, my eyes trailing what they can make out from the moonlight seeping in through the windows, cautiously moving through the house.

"Satoru?" I reach the entrance, but he is nowhere to be seen. I should probably call him, right?

I make my way back to his room to get my phone.

"Y/n..." I jump as a voice breaks the silence.

"Fuck!" I finally breathe when I see it's him. "You said you wouldn't go out toni—" I don't finish my sentence as I look up at him. He isn't even facing me, sitting on the bed, facing the window. "Satoru. Is everything alright?" His shoulders are slumped, the moonlight illuminating his figure. His eyes looking down at his hands, which are dripping blood.

Something happened.

Did the elders find out? No... They would have already called me.

"Everything is fine..." I see a bloody bunch of paper on the nightstand. "I got them."

I walk to the bathroom, taking a towel and dampening it with warm water. He doesn't look at me as I sit next to him, I move my hand slowly to his, but it gets stopped on his limitless.

"Really, is turning on your limitless a tantrum?" I turn my polarity, dissipating the field around him. My hand passes through, and I wipe the blood from it. My breathing hitches as I notice blood still coming out; he didn't even heal them. "Satoru, heal them." He moves his face away from mine. I can feel my brows furrow. "Satoru... there is no point in bleeding."

His face looks tense as he avoids me.

"There is no point to anything... " I look at him confused as to why he has a small smile. "I still don't know if that comforts me or makes everything around me hold no value."

I wait for him to elaborate, to say or do anything, but he closes his eyes, his face sullen. I look back at his hands; why won't he heal them? I concentrate on the bound; I have had this question for a while. I focus my cursed energy through it and feel it travel along his form, his wounds starting to slowly heal. It does work. I can move my reverse cursed technique through him. I wipe the leftover blood. There. I stand up to go rinse the towel, but I feel a tug on my shirt. I look behind me and see his hand holding on to the hem of my shirt.

"Answer me." I feel the binding vow tighten, and I swallow as I am invaded by the familiar dirty feeling. "Fuck, I'm sorry, don't answer if you don't want to..." He lets go, his hands going to his hair, pulling it back. "I'm sorry."

I think about his question as my body relaxes once the vow loosens away.

I always thought my life held no purpose since it wasn't what I wanted it to be.

I breathe in deeply before answering.

"Both... It's comforting that no matter what you do, it will have no point.  It also makes things lose value, but only the things that don't actually matter to you." My hands go to his, making him let go of his hair. "You are gonna bald if you keep pulling on it, does that make brushing it have no point?"
