Charles Wallace sprung up from his seat. Calvin and Sam looked at each other with shocked smiles.

"Chad... did you really perform that surgery? It's so tough" said Calvin.

"Why didn't you call us?" said Sam.

"I didn't wanna worry you guys during the holidays" said Meg.

"Meg, I'm your brother. I should know what happens to you" said Charles Wallace.

"It doesn't matter, Charles. She's fine now" said Chad.

"And you didn't think you could do it" said Robin.

"I thought I knew I couldn't do it. It wasn't the type of surgery I was majoring for. I didn't even complete the major" said Chad.

"Chad, honey, ya gotta stop doubting yourself. You've been doing heroic things since you met us" said Sam.

"I s'pose I have been" said Chad.

"You suppose you have been. Did you ever hear such modesty?" said Patty.

"So what happened next?" said Andy.

"After I agreed, the Misses had me prepare myself while they took Meg into the operating room" said Chad.

"Well, first, he wished me luck before they sedated me; then he went to prepare himself" Meg clarified.

The Misses put Meg's weak body on a stretcher and wheeled her into the hallway.

"Meg, we need to sedate you before your operation" said Dr Whatsit.

"Wait. Could I have one last word with Chad?" said Meg.

"Of course" said Dr Whatsit.

Dr Who gestured for Chad to kneel down next to his wife.

"Honey... I know it's hard. But you can do it" said Meg.

"I'm just glad my sweet one believes in me" Chad whispered.

"Good luck" said Meg.

"Chad. It's time" said Dr Which.

Chad kissed Meg's forehead, then went to put on a surgeon's attire.

As he donned the turquoise paper gown, cap and mask, he couldn't help but pray that he wouldn't kill his wife.

So he sang while looking out the window.

Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume

Breathes a life of glittering gloom

As Meg was sedated, she sang a couple lines.

Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding dying

Sealed in the stone cold tomb

Chad: Oh, star of wonder, star of night

Meg: Star with royal beauty bright

both: Westward leading, still proceeding
