Calvin and Patty enjoyed themselves the best they could, but there was still no sign of Patty's parents.

That night, Patty herself was getting more worried about her family.

She decided to step out for a while, so she excused herself and went to a higher floor in the resort.

She thought she'd get a better view of the horizon that way.

Patty made her way to the top floor, but there were no windows.

But her curiosity was aroused when she saw a closed door made entirely of bamboo.

She opened the door and was greeted by an empty room. It seemed abandoned, but Patty didn't care as she had it all to herself.

It became clear that this room was a tearoom as it had shelves that had teabags and teacups.

Patty decided that she should drink some tea to calm herself down.

She looked around in the room and she felt a worn-out pink and blue Persian carpet beneath her feet. The floor it was on looked like sandalwood.

Patty left her shoes by the door and made herself some fresh-mint tea.

While she was heating the water, she heard a squawk. She turned around and she saw a parrot in its cage.

"Hey, fella" she said.

Patty realized this parrot was left alone, so she fed him the parrot food she found in the cabinet.

On the wall of the tearoom was a portrait of Rita Hayworth, a famous actress from the 40s.

"Wow. These people had good taste" Patty thought.

As she sat in a chair, watched the sunset and drank her tea, she sang a song in her head.

In a dream, or in my drifting days after the war

I found a tearoom north of the Mozambique shore

Worn Persian carpet on the sandalwood floor

Row of pointed slippers by the bamboo door

On the wall, a faded picture of a movie queen

Torn from the pages of some ancient magazine

Sleeping parrot dreaming parrot dreams

And I sat and watched the Zanzibar sunset

Sat and drank my fresh mint tea

With nothing to do until morning

And only my mind for company

And I sat and watched the Zanzibar sunset

Sat and drank my fresh mint tea

With nothing to do until morning

And only my mind for company
