"Mad? Why would I be mad?" he asked incredulously and Akshara gulped once at his affronted look

"I thought you would be mad that they gave me a room without asking you." She really should have just shut her mouth and gone to sleep but alcohol lowered her inhibitions. Pulling her closer into his chest, Abhimanyu kissed her hair once and Akshara's anxiety lessened.

"Baby, I want you to be happy and safe. It doesn't matter who gives it to you as long as you are content. I am glad you have multiple safe spaces now where you can go and unwind, I would never ever be upset about it." Oh.

She hadn't even said anything, but she could feel Abhimanyu smirk in her hair "yes oh, monkey" how did he know her so well, she would never understand. She was still learning a lot about him but Abhimanyu knew everything about her like it was the breaths he took.

"You're my favorite safe space Abhimanyu" she whispered after a while and was startled when he groaned and pulled her away from his chest. "You can't say stuff like this in your brother's house when I can't touch you properly Monkey."

Suddenly all the sleep was gone from her eyes, and she slowly moved her thigh back and forth in between his, emboldened by the darkness of the night and the alcohol rushing through her veins.

"Baby don't." Abhimanyu groaned, pushing on her thigh firmly "I am convinced your brothers would be standing guard outside waiting to hear any noise from in here and beating me up after" he whispered and Akshara couldn't help the loud snort she let out.

"I love your laugh" he said as he tilted her chin up to drop a soft kiss on her lips. She was so ridiculously happy that Akshara felt like nothing could touch her in that moment and it was all because of this man. He had taken bits and pieces of her and made her into a new person. He was her strength and frankly her will to live and thrive. All she did was for Abhimanyu.

"I love you Abhimanyu" she slurred drunkenly before rubbing her cold nose on his warm chest and promptly falling asleep to his kisses in her hair.

She was disappointed to wake up to an empty bed but Abhimanyu had left her a note to let her know that he was called away and that he would see her at their house for dinner. Slightly dejected to not have his warmth she could snuggle into, Akshara stomped downstairs trying to see if her brothers were around or they too had abandoned her for work. To her surprise, she found her brothers setting up the table for breakfast with all her favorites!

Akshara had been hesitant about embarking on this new relationship with her brothers but they had been so lovely and kind that she was filled with a renewed sense of hope.

Smirking at their obvious distress as they figured out what went where, Akshara mumbled a good morning only to have Rishi jump up and drag her over to the table, plonking her down on the chair with some force.

"C'mon we will serve you" Kairav bhai said and her heart pattered faster at that. They really were trying for her...She didn't know what to do with all the emotions rising up within her.

"You uh don't have to do that." She said slightly embarrassed, but Vansh shushed her immediately and plated up some breakfast for her. Akshara had to roll her eyes and ask all of them to stop their hovering and sit next to her but when they still seemed reluctant she threatened to leave and in an instant all of them were surrounding her and they chatted the morning away yelling over each other swapping jokes and stories, something normal siblings do all the time but Akshara never had been privy to.

"Oh before we forget, your perfect husband asked somebody to drop off clothes for you" Vansh Bhai said making Akshara blush and her brothers to pick on her incessantly. How was it her fault if he really was perfect? She couldn't even argue about that. Shoving a kachori in her mouth she mumbled unintelligibly around it causing chuckles to break out all around her.
