As Akshara slowly stirred awake, she rubbed her cheek on her pillow, irritated when something brushed her nose, breaking her sleep.

"Mmmph" she groaned, rubbing her nose deeper into the pillow which seemed to have turned to stone overnight but as she realized that what she was actually rubbing against was the slight smattering of hair on Abhimanyu's chest, she stilled before opening one eye and peeking up to find Abhimanyu already glaring down at her. Shit.

Without waiting for him to yell at her, Akshara snuggled deeper, pulling the covers over her face so she didn't have to face his wrath just yet, plus she was just so damn comfortable and warm, so very warm. "How did you manage to do this?" he said in a voice hoarse with sleep. Something about his sleep roughened voice was so sexy that Akshara lost the train of her thought and her throat dried up. "Monkey c'mon, you'll hurt yourself" his breathy whisper made the hair on top of her head stir but because he didn't make any moves to pry her away, she giggled and continued to rub her nose onto his chest , hiding her face with their blanket.

Abhimanyu's body was so taut under her that Akshara rolled her eyes but then with a small smile rubbed her lips over every inch of skin she could find making Abhimanyu slump under her hold as his hand gently patted her hair "Only for a little while ok?" he said and Akshara grinned happily before nodding sagely. His touch was so hesitant, but she had already pushed him far enough and after everything that had went down the night before, she didn't want to test his patience some more. He would probably have a coronary if she pushed for more but as long as he was touching her, everything would be ok.

She had needed the past week to come to terms with everything, but she really had fucked up with Abhimanyu, he had a full-blown panic attack because of her and as much as she was reeling with the whole pregnancy, Abhimanyu was dealing with that plus her accident, no wonder he was so panicked. Careful not to move too much and jostle her already skittish husband, she caught one of his palms and brought it onto her stomach, putting her hand on top of his. If she wasn't paying attention to every breath he was taking, she would have missed the gentle hitch in his breath but the warmth that his palm was giving her as it encompassed almost her entire waist felt so familiar yet new that she just wanted to bask in its glory.

"You are a bad monkey, using our kids to get your way" Their kids!!! The word made her heart swoop in delight and a small carefree laugh burst out of her before it immediately turned into a pained moan as her ribs smarted. Stupid Akshara she yelled at herself but it was too late because Abhimanyu had retracted his hand like he had been burned and he put some distance between them. "Don't" she growled as she peeked out of the blanket, glaring with all her might at her irritating husband but Abhimanyu had lifted her shirt up for entirely different reasons and was poking and prodding at her bruised skin refusing to listen to her as she tried to tell him that she was fine.

Swatting his hands away she narrowed her eyes at him before biting out a "at least have the decency to say good morning if you are going to be annoying me this early in the morning." Her words made a slow smile stretch out across his face and with wriggling brows he bent down but as Akshara lifted her chin up in anticipation of his kiss, he sidestepped her face altogether and bent down to kiss her stomach mumbling a sweet "good morning babies"

"Now who is using our children for petty revenge?" she asked quirking her brow up, but he looked so sweet as he kept brushing his lips over her skin that she couldn't keep the bite in her voice. Slowly Abhimanyu eased away from her and brushed the back of his fingers over her cheeks and dropped his lips over hers making Akshara smile "Good morning Jaan" he said in the same sleep roughened voice and goosebumps broke out all over her arms. She loved the name so much, because it felt like Abhimanyu saw her in his life forever and knowing how much she craved a family and how insecure she was, this felt like his way of reassuring her that she would always have him.
