Being back home after a long hiatus was probably a hard adjustment for Akshara and Abhimanyu wanted to make it as easy for her as possible. She had gone back in her shell around everyone, only being her normal self with his cousins barring Anisha and Abhimanyu couldn't blame her for it. Things like this would take time and he wouldn't push her to talk to his mother as before if she wasn't ready yet. Surprisingly, his father was one of the few people Akshara spoke a lot with and Abhimanyu was always a little befuddled to come home to them smiling and chattering away before dinner. He had a turbulent relationship with his dad and now he was realizing the depths of how many things Ishika had ruined for him, but seeing Akshara be a daughter to his father was so heart warming that he pushed the jealousy down and out of the way. He would have to try harder to be a better son and maybe apologize about the whole Ishika thing and maybe hug him for bringing Akshara into their lives.
Shrugging the melancholy off, he took the stairs two at a time to go to their room to find his beautiful wife putting on her earrings as she got dressed for their dinner with her brothers. She seemed way to calm and Abhimanyu tried to subtly check her out to see if she was nervous or on her way to having a breakdown but she seemed calm and composed as she hummed softly, looking like a vision in a floral dress barely reaching her thighs. His eyes lit up when she moved her hair away from her shoulders to reveal the thin straps holding the dress upright.
He was such a sucker for her exposed collarbones and shoulders. Walking over to her, he wrapped his arms around her waist, giddy with emotion as he clocked his ring on her finger. She was his and how!
"Oof Abhimanyu, you scared me" she chastised softly but her finger tugged at the hair on his forearm and she bit her lip looking coy. One fluttery glance from her, a bite of her lip, one tug on his forearm and he was hard as a rock, she had him by the balls and yet she had no clue how deep his feelings ran.
Pulling her back to his front, he shamelessly rubbed his hard length all over her back making her gasp as she lifted her eyes for a hot second to meet his in the mirror before she blushed and looked down. He would never ever get tired of making her blush because that pretty pink slash of color on her cheeks was his reason to live.
"Wha-what are you doing monster" she mumbled, dragging her foot on the floor but she didn't pull away "we can't... we have to go" stammering slightly she tried to wriggle out of his hold but Abhimanyu held on to her tightly, dropping his lips on her neck, rubbing them back and forth.
"Are you nervous for tonight?" he asked casually keeping his eyes away from hers, not wanting to overwhelm her.
"No, not really. I want it to be done and over with so it's not looming over my head. Remember when they said they want to try and be in our lives? I would like that...so I just want to forget tonight." When Abhimanyu looked up, he saw her face was upturned into a slight frown as she seemed to be pondering over something. He went back to kissing her neck hoping she would say whatever she wanted in the safety of their room. "I umm don't want their pity. I just want to pretend it never happened" Abhimayu felt his eyes tingling at that. In all of the mess and constant curveballs life was throwing at them, he hadn't really paid much attention to this. Her suffering was always at the back of his mind but he hadn't really talked to her in detail, found out every encounter of abuse, she was struggling with it all on her own.
Before he could open her mouth, she whispered, "I have you now so it's ok." This faith in him had come after so many trials and retributions that he felt like it was a glass vial that he had to keep somewhere for safekeeping.
"You always have me baby" running his nose along her neck, he breathed her in hoping to calm some of his anxiety. She might be ok but he was definitely nervous.
