He had fucked up and he knew it but in his defense he had too much going on currently and it really hadn't registered in his mind that he did not have a shirt on in front of Rutu. The afterglow from sex, the way Akshara looked in the white Anarkali and her cute little whispers and moans had for real scrambled his brain. Work had been taking a lot of his time and what little time he had to be home went into making sure Akshara ate and slept, not that he was complaining about either of those things but the major property in his mind was taken over by Akshara's upcoming birthday and it's planning.

"Can you please knock before coming in?" he said in a slightly annoyed voice to Rutu, watching as she gulped before nodding hastily. Maybe his annoyance at her was misplaced but if he thought about it logically, he had been so jealous that Akshara wore the pretty jhumkas for someone other than him and he had damn near lost his mind when he found out about Akshara potentially working with Raj but she had looked so excited that he definitely was not going to be the one to put a damper on her excitement. She had been miserable the past few weeks and while he didn't want to broach the subject unless she spelled it outright, he knew how much not being at work depressed his little monkey.

Shit, he had to grovel tonight and make sure she was okay. It wouldn't do to upset Akshara, especially not with the pregnancy but otherwise as well and she had left the hospital pissed at him. He wanted to prolong this tussle between them and he would have because it would have made her birthday party that much more fun but he couldn't risk it right now, especially with her fragile health. "Flowers?" he mumbled to himself, almost jumping two feet in the air when Rutu mumbled a "excuse me?" from behind him. What the hell was she still doing here? Maybe she didn't deserve his annoyance but anything that caused his Akshara pain was already unacceptable in his mind.

"Did you need something? I need to go home soon." He said bitterly, more upset with himself but somehow it bled into his tone as he turned towards Rutu.

"Umm no, just a few signatures but they can wait" Rutu said miserably before turning on her feet and stomping out of his office. Great, now he can run home and all at her feet and apologize until she deemed him worthy to share a bed with her but just words wouldn't do this time. Akshara already had to deal with the Ishika mess and because she had never had any past relationships, he didn't want to rub on her raw nerves and make her jealous. Sure, he loved a jealous grump version of his wife but this was probably beyond that.

Abhimanyu gathered his stuff and desperately ran out of his office, coming to a stop outside Nimay's office on his way. Without knocking he barged in startling Nimay who was with a patient.

"Abhimanyu?" Nimay said standing up from behind his desk "is Akshara ok?" Nimay's question made Abhimanyu see red for a second out of jealousy. How did Nimay know that it was Akshara? He loved that Nimay cared this much about her but also the green monster was peeking its head out.

"Yeah. She is ok" he muttered, vexed that he had come here to ask for help from him but now he was the one who was jealous from someone as unharmful as his best friend "never mind, I'll go ask Diksha. You're useless" he mumbled, leaving Nimay and his poor patient gaping at him before Nimay jumped into action, pulling Abhimanyu into the office

"Diksha? Why? No, I'll help. I can help. Don't talk to her" Abhimanyu punched the air mentally, rejoicing now that Nimay was exactly going through what Abhimanyu had been just a few minutes back.

"Doctor?" The poor patient addressed nimay, a tinge of frustration in their voice and Abhimanyu smirked at Nimay before cockily saying "No no go ahead, wrap up your appointment, I'll go find Diksha. Byeee" he said giving him a two finger salute laughing as Nimay subtly flipped him off.
