"what" i asked, raising an eyebrow.
"i need a stool sample on my patient in curtain three"
"right on it" i sighed, following him to his patient.

later that day abby's mom paid a visit..
and that was quite the experience.
just imagine a grown lady running around the hospital screaming abby.
abby! abby! abby!
i still heard the noise in my ears.
"where's kovac been all day?" i asked chuny
"i think he's upstairs"
"suspected abuse case" she shrugged
"oh" i nodded, scribbling into a chart.
i began walking off to change a few patients saline bags.
"oh, mark"
"labs for that stool sample came back"
"everything is normal" i smiled
"thanks, gianna"
"no problem"

it was seven. mark left for a skiing weekend getaway and luka came back down in the er.
i on the other hand, had a meeting to attend. financial, management types of things.
it was all a snore.
that was probably the only thing i didn't like about this job, these stupid meetings i had to attend monthly.
after, i sat down at doc magoos with a cup of coffee.
i smoked a cigarette and looked out the window.
"didn't know you smoked" carter said
"i just needed a half a cigarette" i smiled
"that's kind of odd"
i raised an eyebrow.
"mind if i join you?"
"go ahead" i said as he sat down in the booth
i put down the cigarette.
"crazy day, huh?"
"not too bad" i smiled
he paused
"i've hardly been able to get to know you"
i tilted my head, confused "what makes you want to get to know me?"
"you seem interesting?"
"really?" i scoffed
for the next hour, i sat in doc magoos and just talked to carter. it was weird.
