It's been about a month and a half since we started shooting and today was my first scene with my baby Ms Shug Avery. She was doing her big song Push da button today and I couldn't wait to hear her. I showered got dressed in gray sweatpants and a matching hoodie before heading to Dani's apartment for breakfast this morning, yesterday we did it at my apartment and the day before that was Colman. I headed down the hall and knocked on her door.
"Hey Ms Celie"
"Hey Ms Sophia. You look good this morning"
"So do you Ms thang." Danielle was dressed in some black jeans and a purple knitted sweater.
"Thank you, Hey Ms Halle baby" Halle was dressed in a long summer dress.
"Hey Tasia" We hugged and I sat next to her at the table.
"I'm almost done with breakfast give me just a second"
"What did you make?"
"Pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. Coffee anyone?"
"Oh yes please, Halle?" I stood up I didn't want to just be useless so I went to go make my cup of coffee before she did.
"Oh no, water please" there was a knock on the door and Halle went to go open it. "Hey Gabi, good morning auntie"
"Hey baby" I heard Taraji's voice so I decided to make her coffee as well. I sat down Halle's water and went to sweeten our coffee.
"Gabi would you like anything to drink?" I asked her.
"Ooh some coffee please I need to wake up" I poured a third cup and sweetened it as well.
"What about me?" Taraji asked coming into the small kitchen area.
"I already got you covered my love" I told her handing her her cup. She air kissed me and I did it back before handing out Gabi's and sipping on my own. I took in what Taraji was wearing she was dressed in ripped light blue jeans and a white and black sweater, she looked nice. We got settled at the table and Dani started putting plates in front of us. We had nice conversation and ate our breakfast before heading to set, Colman took Danielle, Gabi, Corey and Phylicia and the rest of us took an Uber.
When we made it to the studio we got out and headed inside then went our separate ways. Well, all of us except me and Taraji.
"Dani where you going, you know you live with us right?" Taraji said and she laughed.
"Yes I'll be right back Blitz wanted to talk to me" She answered still walking away.
"You think we should go over your song again?" I asked.
"No I don't think I should I want to rest my vocals before the big performance. We've been practicing for weeks and I don't want to chance it. We headed inside our dressing room. "Thank you for all of your help, you have been so gracious" She took a seat on the couch and I sat next to her.
