I just found out that JP was getting out on bail, he told me when he got out he wanted his family back and I honestly didn't know what to do with this situation. I still really loved him, but his being got for the most stressful part of raising the boys pissed me off. Then there was Kiara, we'd recently started dating and I didn't want to mess up what I had with her because I backslid with JP. I would never want to hurt her like that. Today was my birthday even though I didn't think I deserved anything, my friends and Kiara were the only ones who had done something for me so far. Lyric bought me a gift bag with candy, my favorite Victoria's Secret lotion and perfume, and a pair of new Ugg slippers because I told her I wanted them. Kiara got me flowers, balloons, a cupcake with the number 17 on it, and the cutest Pandora bracelet. KD got me a card with money in it and a big teddy bear. Jade was still upset with me but she did tell me happy birthday, and so did Tasia, Dallas, and Keziah. Mama wasn't awake when I left for school that morning only Tasia but she hadn't texted me or anything so I figured she probably forgot with everything going on. I had been staying to myself for the most part, I always had the boys and I tried to stay out of the house as much as possible. Hopefully, my staying away helped some. I had just gotten out of practice and was on my way home when Kiara stopped me by my car.
"Hey, baby!" I greeted her and she pulled me into a hug.
"You going home?"
"Yeah."
"I saw Jade at practice today."
"You didn't say anything to her did you?"
"... No, against my better judgment, I didn't go off on your sister for being an asshole on your birthday."
"Thank you."
"You and the boys coming over today?"
"Yes."
"Okay, you want to go out to dinner tonight? We can take the kids too, everything is on me."
"Yeah okay. I want to check on Mama first but that sounds good." She smiled and kissed me on the lips.
"Alright, I'll see you later." She walked off towards her car and I got in mine and headed home. When I got home Jade's car was in the driveway, and so were Tasia's and Mama's so I knew everyone was home. I got out of my car and unlocked the door when I walked in the smell of food hit my nose. Ooh, it smells so good in here. I walked into the kitchen and mom was cooking at the stove. When she saw me she motioned for me to come towards her.
"Hi baby how was school?"
"It was good."
"I made some chicken and shrimp Alfredo you want some?"
"Yes please." Alfredo was one of my favorite dishes.
"Go relax and check on the boys." I nodded and headed upstairs. When I opened my bedroom door I saw the room full of balloons, Jade and Tara holding the boys, and my bed full of gifts.
