We finally landed in Bali. We went back home and switched out our clothes before taking our flight the next morning. 28 hours with two stops on a flight is insane, we departed from the DC airport at 6:30 at night and landed at 11:00 am a day later. Taraji hated long flights so she was losing her mind the whole time. She even cried at one point and asked "Why are we still in the air!" we had 12 hours to go. She was so dramatic, but that was the longest flight I have ever been on and I thought it was the flight we took when we went to London.
"I bet you're glad that we've finally landed." She side-eyed me. "You said let's go somewhere we've never been, you wanted to be by water and in an exotic place don't be mad at me."
"I'm not mad, I'm annoyed. 28 hours?" I didn't mind it at all, I liked flying but Taraji didn't like being in a confined area like that for long. She would walk back and forth from the bathroom every hour so she could stretch her legs. Me though, I spent most of my time asleep and I encouraged Taraji to do the same. We arrived at our hotel and a bellman helped load our bags on a cart. I went to the reception desk and checked in.
"Hi, I'm checking in for Barrino-Henson."Taraji wrapped her arms around me from behind and laid her head on my back.
"Yes, I see you right here. You booked the suite for five nights?"
"Yes." She grabbed two keycards for our room and activated them.
"Here you are. Please don't hold them against your phone or you'll deactivate both cards and have to get them reactivated at the desk again." I nodded and thanked her. "Your suite is on the fifth floor, the second room on the left side." I handed my phone to Taraji and I took the keycards, the bellman went to get the elevator for us putting the cart with our luggage inside before we got in. We went to the top floor and the bellman led us towards our room. He unlocked the door and pushed open the door, it was beautiful inside. We walked into the living area of the room and he pushed the cart inside and unloaded our bags. Taraji took my hand and led me around the room so we could see what every room looked like.
