T.P. Barrino-Henson
It was Sunday and I was currently supposed to be taking a nap but instead, I was checking emails from my assistant Maya. She was trying to get me to take another interview I've done exactly four interviews, one every year and two have been with Jimmy Fallon, the other was Kelly Clarkson, and the other with Drew Barrymore. I didn't feel like doing an interview this year though, especially since I wasn't sure if I could talk for that long. I have been saving my breath, I can't afford to get worked up and I'm so glad that I have my gorgeous wife because she does the yelling I can't do. Dallas is amazing too because they listen so well to their big brother. Speaking of my son, I still haven't told Tasia about him and Nadia, now that I have some time I will. "Baby, can you come here!" I called out to Tasia. I put my iPad to the side and grabbed my phone. I went to Instagram to find another funny meme to post as I waited for Tasia.
"Why are you still awake?" She asked with a hand on her hip. "And baby why do you have your iPad, phone, and the glasses out you're working and I need you to stop."
"I'm not sleepy, I could sleep better if you lay with me."
"You know I can't lay with you once I'm down I can't move because if I move you wake up. Also, one adult needs to be awake, Dallas will only deal with so much."
"Okay, baby come here." She walked towards my side of the bed and I scooted over so she could get in next to me. I laid my head on her shoulder and softly ran my nails down her arm lacing our fingers together. "I have to tell you something."
"Tell me something good. Tell me that you love me, baby."
"I love you."
"I love you too, now what's keeping you awake."
"I'm not tired. I've been checking my emails, and Maya keeps sending me interview after interview. She even keeps pushing this stupid workshop idea-"
"I will be texting Maya then."
"Just tell her to lay off the workshop ideas, I might still do an interview I don't know."
"But you don't want to. So don't."
"I did really good last time."
"Last year, this year is not like last year."
"I think I should try."
"Well, then you need to practice talking again. I'll help you."
"Thank you, Mama."
"Of course my love."
"Alright now let's talk about our son?"
"What did he do?"
"He had Nadia in his room yesterday morning."
"Wasn't I here yesterday morning, how come I didn't see her?"
"You ran out the door just as they came down."
