It was 5:30 and I had just gotten out the shower, I had to take Ari to her doctors appointment after I dropped Tasia off and then I started on dinner. I made chicken Alfredo, salad and garlic bread for them and then went to take my hair down before getting in the shower. I got dressed in a gray sweatsuit and put on some black and white Nikes then started packing my black and white duffel bag. I pulled my hair into a bun and headed downstairs, Ari and Jade were lounging around on the couch scrolling on their phones.
"Mama can I get a belly piercing?"
"I'm surprised you haven't yet. Actually, I'm surprised you're even asking" Ari was known for doing what she wanted, she went and cut her hair at 12 trying to make a bob and cut her hair at her ears.
"I'm trying to do the right thing"
"Ask your mom."
"I just did."
"Your real mom."
"I did both, she said ask you" I sighed.
"When you turn 17 you can get it."
"17?!"
"Girl that's not even that far be happy I agreed. You can't have one right now anyway you're pregnant remember?" She sat back with a frown.
"What about a nose piercing?"
"Maybe."
"Fine."
"You're welcome."
"Thank you."
"If she's getting one so am I." Jade said.
"At 17 if that's what you want."
"I'm talking about the nose piercing, I think it'll be so cute on me"
"Oh okay, well maybe just like I told her."
"I could've gotten one at 15?" Ari complained.
"Ooh I'm about to say no to it all" In sync they both turned around and went back to their phones. "I'll be back tomorrow afternoon but I want you both in bed by 10 and call me before you go to sleep"
"Yes ma'am" Jade answered. I kissed the top of their heads before grabbing my bag, my purse and going to get in my car. I started it up and headed out to pick up Fantasia. I received a FaceTime call from Regina and set her up on my phone stand so I could be hands free and still talk. I answered it and saw that it was a group call.
