Chapter 2-Meeting my Goddess,oh my goodness

White. It's so white. Everything is white.

"Nasa langit na ba ako?" wala sa sariling usal ko. I tried to look at my body but I saw none. Even when I tried to raise my arms and legs, there was still nothing. It was as if I were a ball, a bubble floating in this white place.

"Where exactly am I?"

"You already answered your own question, young miss." I gasped in shock and looked towards the source of the voice. My shock doubled when I saw her. She was a woman with golden eyes, long, flowing golden hair, smooth and fair skin. She was sexy and a total hot chick. A Goddess is the right description. What a sight!

"Thank you for your thoughts," she chuckled. Oh, her voice! Her smile! I could live longer just hearing and seeing those, and I'm definitely straight. But... huh?

"Naririnig mo ang aking iniisip!?" gulat na tanong ko. She nodded while smiling. What a beauty!

"Wait, sino ka po pala? At sinabi mo rin na nasa langit ako?" I asked.

"Oh, where are my manners," she said, straightening her posture. "My name is Lisha, the Goddess of the world where the superior, my only God, has selected you to be reincarnated."

"And yes, nasa langit ka. As you can see, isa ka nalang kaluluwa na may ala-ala ng iyong nakaraan," she continued.

If only I had a face, maybe she could see how my mouth was wide open and my eyes were about to drop from shock. I was speechless.

"Ehem!" I was jolted back to my senses by her clearing her throat. So she was an actual Goddess!? A real one!? I thought I'd be greeted by San Pedro and his rooster, or a God who I imagined as old with white hair and a long white beard. But a Goddess? Come to think of it, this scene feels familiar. Oh, I remember! It's the same scene I always saw on TV way back when I was a huge fan of reincarnated anime stories, so it's actually true, huh? But what did she just say?

"Reincarnate?"

"Yes?" She wasn't sure if I was asking her or talking to myself.

"You mean a God selected a world where I was going to be reincarnated?"

"Ah yes, that's exactly what I said, dearest," she smiled after saying that.

"Does the Goddess usually tell a funny joke before she lets the spirits cross to their peaceful place?" I asked, and soon I found myself laughing out of nowhere.

"But it's not a joke. Didn't you pray to Him to give you another life? And He listened to you." I stopped laughing and looked at her again.

"But why?" I wasn't sure what I wanted to ask. All I felt was tears forming in my eyes. So He does hear me. I'm happy.

"Because you're a good girl, Alliyah. You're a good and respectful person. You do good deeds in your surroundings and help those in need without expecting anything in return."

"That is why it's time we grant your wish." Tears rolled down my cheeks from the happiness I felt. She came closer and embraced me with her warm arms, and I cried even harder.

"Now, now, my sweetie, you've been through a lot. We apologize," she said warmly, and I cried more. If someone saw us, they'd probably wonder, 'What is a Goddess doing hugging a small glowing bubble that's crying?'

"Stop now, you beautiful angel, and tell me what you wish for." I distanced myself from her and thought about what I wanted to wish for.

"I just want to have a good life where there's not too much work, where I can enjoy and laze around, where everything is easy," I said with a smile.

She smiled. "Is there anything else you want besides that?"

"I don't want to be greedy, but I want a skill that allows me to cook delicious dishes," I said shyly. I've always wanted to be a chef since I was young, but I didn't have the skills. That's why I ended up working at the food company instead.

"Oh honey, it's okay to be greedy sometimes. Remember that," she said.

"Is there anything else?" she asked again, as if she wanted to hear something specific from me.

"Uhm, maybe a book of information about the world I'm about to reincarnate into?" I smiled, but she didn't. Oh, did I overdo it?

"Oh, come on. Fine, I'll just take care of that," she said with a pout that surprised me.

"What do you mean-"

"Don't worry about those wishes because I'll grant them easily. But let me do the job where I bet you'll be happy," she said happily.

"Huh?"

"You'll see," she said mysteriously. And before I could ask another question, my body began to glow brightly.

"After all, you deserve it." I looked at her.

"Don't forget about me, okay?" And the last thing I saw was her smiling lovingly at me while mouthing some words that I couldn't understand
