Kiel's POV

Have I ever mentioned to you,

what was going through my mind when I met you again?

"Are you going to spend the night here in Ponte Almeria?" tanong ni Priscilla pagkababa namin ng kotse. I didn't answer her, I just grabbed my duffel bag and started walking towards my friends.

"Kiel?" she directly asked me. "Mag-stay ka ba sa hotel, or babalik ka sa Serenaville?"

Ang kulit naman nito. Ang daming tanong.

"I don't know. Why are you asking?"

"Para makapagpaalam ako sa parents ko na hindi ako rin makakauwi."

I wasn't even inviting her to come along.

"Hindi ba't birthday ni Tita? You should be at her party."

She pouted and looked at me like a puppy. "But you're here. They told me to stay where you are."

"Go home, Cilla," bored na sambit ko.

"I'll watch your game first. Tapos habol tayo sa party ni Mama. Okay?"

I ran a hand through my hair and got distracted by the sheer number of people snapping pictures and videos of me. Ang daming manunuod ng game today...

My eyes quickly scanned the faces staring at me. They're all normal-looking.

Ano ba 'yan. Kaya nga ako dumayo pa dito ay para may ma-meet akong bago. Wala man lang makapukaw ng atensyon ko.

Sighing, I waited for Rios to park his car before we headed inside the basketball court. Of course, Cilla walked behind us, like she always does. Nakabuntot kung saan ako magpunta.

"Ang loyal talaga ng aso mong 'yan sa'yo," pabulong na biro ni Rios kaya siniko ko siya.

"Tarantado. Marinig ka niyan uy."

Rios just laughed and greeted some of the girls who yelled our names.

"Oh, I forgot my mini fan! Kiel, borrow naman ng car key mo, please! I think I left it in the back seat." Tamad kong iniabot iyon kay Cilla.

"Sana hinagis mo 'yung susi para makita mo kung marunong na mag-fetch si Priscilla," biro na naman ni Rios kaya tinulak ko siya palayo at pinigilan ang tawa ko.

"G*go ka talaga." Humalakhak si Rios, tuwang tuwa sa sarili niyang joke.

Habang sumusunod kami kila Tyler ay narinig ko ang boses ng girlfriend niyang si Eloise. Malakas kasi talaga ang boses no'n, parang nakalunok ng mic.

I glanced in their direction and noticed her cousin Emma already sitting away from the crowd, reading a book.

What a nerd.

Matagal ko ng classmate si Emma, at kahit na ang ganda ganda niya, ni minsan talaga hindi ko siya nagustuhan. She's such a prim and proper person, and the things she likes are for dull people. Sanay na akong gano'n siya pero natatawa pa rin talaga ako tuwing nakikita ko siya. Napakahinhin, parang isang pitik ko lang ay babagsak kaagad.

I was silently laughing at my thoughts when I noticed that they weren't alone. There was another woman next to them.

She has fair skin and her hair was braided neatly to the side using a purple butterfly scrunchie. The school uniform she is wearing clearly indicates that she is from around here. I wonder how she became friends with Eloise and Emma. Those two girls barely visit this place.
