TWINS
Lana's POV
Twice the kids,
twice the love and joy.
"Daddy! Daddy!"
Natigilan ako sa pagluluto ng almusal nang may sumigaw na maliit na boses sa likuran ko. I turned around and glanced at my two-year-old daughter Makenna pointing at the TV. Her sister Naiah was sitting on the sofa, staring at the television too, while making her teddy bear stufftoy dance.
Naghugas ako ng kamay at lumapit sa kanila. I smiled as I watched them sing along with their father. Kabisado nila lahat ng mga kanta ni Kiel, bawat linya ay alam na alam talaga nila.
I clapped and enjoyed a few minutes with them before I went back to the kitchen. Tahimik akong nagluto habang naririnig ang boses ni Kiel sa TV.
Somehow, it soothes me that I can still see and hear him. Kahit na sa malayo na nga lang ngayon...
"I want chu see him, mommy." Lumapit si Makenna sa akin at hinila ang long skirt ko para kunin ang atensyon ko.
I smiled and kneeled to be on the same level as her. "He's still busy, baby."
"World tour!" dagdag ni Naiah na lumapit rin sa akin. Tumango ako at inayos ang fishtail braid niya.
"Yes. He's still abroad, entertaining his fans. Aren't you both proud of him?"
Hindi umimik si Naiah. Umalis na siya at sumalampak sa playmat para maglaro. Makenna pouted and held both of her pigtails. Parang nagtampo sa sagot ko kaya sumunod na lang siya sa kapatid niya at hindi ako sinagot.
I let out a sigh and stood up. Hanggang ngayon, may kirot pa rin sa puso ko tuwing nakikita ko silang lumalaki na wala ang tatay nila sa tabi nila. The only consolation that I have is that I never hid the truth from my twins.
Kilala nila ang tatay nila. They know his whole name and what he looks like. Pinapapanuod ko rin sa kanila ang bawat music video at performances ni Kiel kahit na hindi pa rin ako mahilig sa social media.

Naiah: "And ball for me! Big popol ball!"
