CHAPTER 44
VICTORY PARTY
Lana's POV
There are moments when I act against my better judgment.
And that includes having jealous feelings when I shouldn't.
"Ay pucha. Comeback is real!" Kinikilig na sambit ni Eloise kaya naman sumimangot ako at tinalikuran na siya. She giggled and followed me to the bedroom. "Yieee! Tapos na ang dry season niya!"
"Magtigil ka nga. And can you please keep your voice down? Baka marinig ka ng mga bata."
"Hindi naman nila maiintindihan pa, HAHAHA."
Humarap ako sa salamin at inayos ang buhok ko. Eloise gave my hair a slight curl to ensure I would not seem too plain for tonight's private gathering.
Kiel is throwing a victory party to mark the conclusion of his global tour. He got me an evening gown with an off-the-shoulder design in black and dark violet, paired with black high heels. Paggising ko, nakita ko na lang ang ilang boxes ng regalo niyang ito sa harapan ng pintuan. Hindi ko na nagawang umangal dahil hindi lang naman ako ang binilhan niya. He bought a gown for Eloise too. He invited us both.
"How do I look?"
"Enough to make every single guy drool for you," She joked around. "How can you be so pretty all the time, Lana? It's unfair."
"Stop it. You're way prettier," I complimented her back. She grinned and swayed the ends of her black v-neck long gown.
"Mommy, ganda!" Makenna commented as she peeked through the door. Lumapit siya at pinindot pindot ang damit ko, halatang manghang mangha sa suot ko. Ngayon lang kasi nila ako nakitang magayos ng ganito.
"Queen si Mommy," Naiah praised, smiling widely at me while pointing to her doll to say that I resembled it.
Yumuko ako at hinalikan ang mga pisngi nila. "Thank you, my loves. Behave kayo, okay? 'Wag niyong bibigyan ng sakit sa ulo si Ninong Daddy niyo."
Felix would be looking after my kids for the night. Mabuti nga at wala siyang plano ngayong gabi kaya napakiusapan ko siya. Nahihiya na rin kasi ako sa parents ni Eloise, matatanda na sila at napapagod na kakabantay sa mga anak ko.
"Anong oras pala kayo uuwi?" He asked after we returned to the living room, pinching Makenna's cheeks.
"Aww!" Tinulak siya ni Makenna at pinalo ang binti niya. Felix laughed loudly because it did not hurt a little bit. Naiah just stared at the two of them, parang pinagiisipan niyang mabuti kung nagaaway ba 'yung dalawa o naglalaro.
