Your point of view.I quickly grabbed my bag as soon as the bell rang, jogging out of the classroom almost immediately.
It's the next day, and it's going to be a hectic one. I need to find Baji. And finding him isn't going to be easy. The moron has been avoiding my calls and texts, and it's seriously pissing me off now.
The funny part is his mother, Miss Baji has also been suspicious of his behavior. She even called me to ask if I knew anything. Of course, I couldn't tell her the truth, so I lied and chalked it up to his monthly mood swings. Which, honestly, feels like the only explanation. Knowing how much she worries about him, it's so wrong of him to act this way toward her.
But first, I need to find him, beat some sense into him, and stop whatever he's plotting.
Crazy how he just decided to disappear and thinks no one will find him. Which, unfortunately, is true. I can't seem to win at this stupid game of hide-and-seek. It's annoying, losing to him. He's obviously avoiding me.
I groaned, kicking an empty can on the sidewalk. The sun was beginning to set, the sky bathed in hues of yellow and orange, mocking me with its serene beauty.
Five hours. It had been five hours since I started my search, and all I had to show for it was a growing sense of frustration.
I took out my phone, checking for messages or missed calls from Miss Baji. Nothing. She'd promised to call if he returned home, so he clearly hadn't. He has to be somewhere in the city. Why can't I find him?
Sliding my phone back into my pocket, I exhaled deeply. Maybe I should head home. I'm tired, and this feels like a lost cause.
I turned on my heels, walking toward my neighborhood, my gaze fixed on the ground. But then, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a figure standing in the park.
Long black hair swayed in the wind as he stood near the climbing frame.
I stopped in my tracks, eyes narrowing as recognition hit me.
The man, as if sensing my stare, glanced over his shoulder. His eyes met mine, and he froze.
This bitch.
Without hesitation, I marched toward him. He turned to face me fully, his expression blank, almost nonchalant.
Can't hide now, can you?
I stopped a few feet away, glaring at him. "Where the hell were you?!"
"Why were you looking for me?" He narrowed his gaze.
"Seriously?" I scoffed, crossing my arms. "You've been ignoring my calls and texts since you pulled this crap, and you expect me to stay silent?"
"Because whatever I do shouldn't concern you." He said flatly, shaking his head. "Joining Valhalla was my decision. Nobody forced me."
"It does concern me." I retorted, frowning.
"Why does it?" He scoffed. "It shouldn't."
"Why are you acting like an idiot?" I snapped. "I can't imagine you leaving Toman to join a gang like Valhalla just because you wanted to."
He narrowed his eyes. "So what? It's not like anything's going to happen to me."
"You expect me to believe that crap?" I shot back.
He rolled his eyes, looking away. "Kazutora's my friend. I joined Valhalla for him. That's it. Pretty obvious after everything that happened at the meeting ground."
