Third point of view.
Kakucho's body crashed onto the glass table, the sharp sound of shattering glass echoing through the dimly lit room. Shards scattered across the floor, some biting into his skin, but he barely flinched.
But you weren't about to let him off that easily.
Fury burned through you as you stormed forward, grabbing him by the collar and yanking him up with enough force to make his head snap forward.
"Why the hell didn't you stop him?!" Your voice cracked with rage, your grip tightening. "You said you were on our side! That you didn't want things to end up like this!"
Kakucho didn't answer. His expression was unreadable, but the guilt in his eyes only fueled your anger.
"You knew what Izana and Kisaki were planning! You knew they wanted to kill Emma!" Your voice shook, emotions threatening to spill over. "And now she's gone!"
His lips parted slightly, but no words came out.
Your fists connected with Kakucho over and over again, each strike landing harder than the last. He barely moved, taking it all like he knew he deserved it.
"You should have stopped him!" You yelled out.
"Why did you even come to me?" Your voice wavered as your hands trembled. "Why did you tell me about Emma? To rub it in my face that I thought I could trust you?!"
Because deep down, you had thought, just for a second, that he would've stopped Izana. That even though Kakucho could never speak up against his boss, he wouldn't have stayed silent this time.
But he did.
And now Emma was dead.
Your breath hitched, and you shoved him away with all the strength you had left. Kakucho staggered back, his hands hanging limply by his sides.
He knew you were right.
He should have stopped Izana.
But he did try.
He had told Izana it wasn't right. That this wasn't the way things should be. That killing Mikey's sister. His own sister went against everything he believed in.
But it didn't matter.
Kisaki had already planted the seed in Izana's mind, twisting and warping it until there was nothing left but the cold, cruel inevitability of it all.
Because Izana was the king.
And Kakucho was nothing more than his pawn.
Your vision blurred as your legs shook beneath you.
"She didn't deserve that.."
The words barely made it past your lips.
"She didn't deserve to die.."
Your knees buckled, and you sank to the floor, your body folding in on itself.
And Kakucho could only stand there, staring down at you until his feet moved before he even realized it, the glass crunching beneath his shoes as he stepped forward.
His hands trembled for a moment before he slowly bent down, hesitating only for a second before wrapping his arms around you.
You tensed at first, your body stiff against his touch. But for once, you didn't fight back and your sobs came harder as you gripped the front of his shirt, burying your face into his shoulder.

The salty breeze of Yokohama Bay was cold against your skin, as you were on your knees, wrists bound behind your back, shoulders aching from the strain.
