Third point of view. The streets of Shibuya buzzed with life, the colorful signs and vibrant energy making it one of your favorite places to wander. You'd just finished shopping, a couple of bags dangling from your hands as you strolled aimlessly, enjoying the mild breeze.
As you turned a corner, a familiar silhouette caught your eye, tall, broad-shouldered, and unmistakably Draken. He stood in front of a clothing store display, staring intently at a rack of women's clothes with a deep frown etched onto his face.
Curious, you made your way over, your steps light and deliberate. "Draken?" You called softly when you were just a few feet away.
He flinched, his shoulders jerking slightly before he turned to look at you, his eyes
wide with surprise. "Y/n-chan!" He exclaimed, clearly startled. "Don't sneak up on me like that!"You chuckled, raising an eyebrow at his reaction. "I wasn't sneaking. You were just too focused to notice." You gestured toward the display. "What's got you so worked up? Shopping for someone?"
Draken rubbed the back of his neck, looking uncharacteristically sheepish. "Uh, yeah. It's Emma's birthday soon. I wanted to get her something nice, but.." He trailed off, glancing back at the clothes with a conflicted expression. "I have no idea what I'm doing."
You raised an eyebrow, amused by the sight of the usually composed Draken looking completely out of his element. "Why don't you just ask her what she wants?"
He shook his head. "I want it to be a surprise. You know, something thoughtful. But.." He stopped before shifting his gaze. "I guess maybe you can help me since you're her friend, and you're a girl. You probably have a better idea of what she'd like."
You chuckled. "Alright, here's the thing. Gifts don't always have to be loud or flashy. Sure, some girls love extravagant stuff, but Emma's not like that. She'll appreciate anything as long as it's well thought out."
Draken gave you a skeptical look. "That's.. not very specific."
"Okay, let me simplify it for you." You said with a grin. "Think about something personal. Something that shows you've been paying attention to her. It doesn't have to be expensive. it just has to mean something."
Draken looked back at the display, his frown softening into something more thoughtful. "Yeah.. that makes sense. Emma's always been the type to care more about the thought than the price tag."
"Exactly. You know, it could even be something Emma wanted but couldn't get."
Draken's expression shifted for a moment, just a flicker of something in his eyes, like a thought had crossed his mind. It was so quick that you almost missed it, but the way he froze for a fraction of a second told you it struck a chord. However, before you could ask, the look faded, and he gave you a relaxed grin.
"Yeah." He said, looking back at the store window. "That makes sense. Thanks, Y/n-chan. You really helped me out."
You smiled, his mind was no doubt working on the gift now. "No problem." You said, tapping the shopping bags in your hand. "Just pick something nice. She'll love it, I'm sure."
With a quick nod, Draken stepped back, looking like he'd come to a decision. "Alright, I'll get on that. Thanks again!"
Before you could say anything else, he turned on his heel and made his way down the street, moving quickly as if he had something important to do.
You shrugged, not thinking much of it.
You continued on your way, smiling at the thought of Emma getting a gift that would really surprise her. "Typical Draken." You muttered, brushing off the thought as you turned your attention back to the shop displays.
