Third point of view.

The brief moment of peace was shattered when a voice cut through the air.

"Step back," Kakucho commanded, stepping forward with a hardened expression. His gaze locked onto Takemichi. "This is between us, Takemichi. I need to settle this with you right now."

Takemichi stiffened, his fists clenching at his sides. "Kakucho.." He muttered, shaking his head. "It doesn't have to be this way."

Kakucho's eyes darkened. "It doesn't matter which way it is." He said, his voice eerily calm. "The man I chose to follow.. I will gladly follow him to the pits of hell."

You frowned, glancing between them.

How does Takemichi even know him?

But even as you wondered, one thing was clear, you had no intention of fighting Kakucho. Nor did you want any of the others to. Out of all of Tenjiku, he was the only one who had shown you any respect.

He had looked after you after they took you.

But before anyone could act, Takemichi swiftly raised his palm towards the others. "Leave this to me." He said firmly.

"Takemichi... don't.."  You called out, shaking your head as a plead. To which he only sighed.

"I'll handle it Y/n-san!"

Then, without hesitation, he stepped forward, closing the distance between him and Kakucho.

Kakucho wasted no time. The moment Takemichi stepped forward, he lunged, his fist connecting with force. But Takemichi didn't waver. He took the hits without hesitation, his eyes locked onto Kakucho's.

"Why, Kaku-chan?" Takemichi asked, his voice strained as another blow landed on his ribs.

"You wouldn't understand," Kakucho muttered, pulling back before slamming another punch into Takemichi's stomach. "The bond between us.. It's not something you can comprehend."

Takemichi staggered but didn't fall. He coughed, gripping his side. "Even if we were childhood friends?"

The moment the words left his mouth, Kakucho's face twisted. "Even if we were childhood friends," He repeated coldly. "I will kill you without mercy."

Then, without warning, Kakucho's fist shot forward connecting squarely with Takemichi's jaw. The sheer impact sent him flying backward, his body hitting the ground hard.

"Takemichi!" Chifuyu called out, panic lacing his voice as he took a step forward. But before he could move any further, a hand shot out, stopping him in his tracks.

Baji stood firm, his sharp eyes locked onto the fight. "Don't interfere," He said, his voice firm. "This is his fight. It'd be better if he handles it himself."

Chifuyu gritted his teeth, clearly frustrated, but he didn't argue.

Takemichi took hit after hit, his face barely recognizable beneath the blood dripping down his features.

Yet, he still stood. Taking it all in.

You clenched your fists, wanting to step in and stop this madness.

It wasn't fair.

No one deserved to be beaten down like this, especially not Takemichi, who had done nothing but fight for the people around him.

But you turned to look at Baji's. Whose gaze remained locked onto the fight. He believed in Takemichi just as much as the others did.

But watching him like this.. hurts.
