Third point of view.

The moment you moved, however, a ripple of panic spread through the nearby Tenjiku members. They weren't stupid, they knew exactly what you were trying to do. You were making a break for your group.

Some lunged toward you, but they barely lasted a few seconds. A swift kick sent one sprawling, another reeled back as you drove your knee into his gut, and a third flinched when you shot him a glare that screamed, Don't even try it.

"Out of my way, assholes!" You snapped, shoving another to the side.

You were getting close until a shadow loomed in your path.

A taller, bulkier Tenjiku member stepped forward, face twisted in a frown as he reached for you. He was too big to take down in one hit, and with your hands still tied, you had no way to block whatever he planned to do next.

But before you could react, a blur of movement cut in.

"Oi, keep your damn hands off the commander's girl!"

A punch slammed into the side of the Tenjiku member's face, sending him staggering.

You blinked in shock.

Standing in front of you was Peh-yan.

Your eyes widened as you stared at him.

"Peh--?" You barely got his name out.

He smirked, cracking his knuckles. "What? I'm not going down so easily!"

You chuckled, shaking your head. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just untie my hands!"

He moved forward, reaching for the ropes behind your back. "Yeah, hold still."

You frowned, feeling him tug once. Twice.

"Uhh.."

You craned your neck. "What do you mean, uhh?"

"This thing's kinda tight," He admitted, struggling against the knot.

"Are you telling me you can't untie it?!"

"Not sayin' that," He grunted, yanking at the rope again. "Just saying it's a little tricky--"

Before he could finish, one of the Tenjiku members watching the whole scene unfold took the opportunity to rush at you both.

You turned your head, seeing him approach.

"Peh--!"

"I got it, I got it--!"

"PEH-YAN, HURRY THE HELL UP!"

"QUIT YELLING, I'M TRYING--!"

The enemy was getting closer.

"TRY HARDER!"

"I AM--"

And then a snap was heard.

The ropes fell loose just as you spun around, catching the approaching member square in the jaw with a kick that sent him sprawling.

Peh-yan exhaled in relief. "See? Told ya I had it."

You and Peh-yan were cut off mid-action by the harsh sound of something slamming hard.

Your head snapped toward the source, your stomach twisting at the sight of a crowd forming in the distance. Without hesitation, you both rushed forward, pushing past the mass of bodies, shoving aside anyone who got in your way.

And then you stopped dead in your tracks.

Hakkai was pinned to the ground, his body barely moving. Rindou loomed over him, keeping him down, while Ran stood above, gripping his baton tightly, bringing it down, again and again against Hakkai's face.
