Third point of view.

The next day, you found yourself sprawled across Mikey's bed, staring at the ceiling as if it held all the answers to your thoughts. Not that you were actually paying attention to it.

Your mind was elsewhere, specifically on Baji.

You couldn't shake the feeling that he was ignoring you. The last time he acted like this, you found out he was going to die. You had managed to prevent it, but now.. something about this felt eerily familiar.

Your fingers curled into the blanket as you turned your head to the side, the sound of faint punches echoing from the television. Mikey sat on the floor, fully immersed in his game, his fingers moving over the controller with ease.

"I think Baji's ignoring me."

A soft hum left Mikey as he kept his eyes on the screen. "What?"

You sighed. "Baji. I think he's ignoring me."

This time, Mikey paused, his game freezing mid-fight as he turned his head over his shoulder. His brows furrowed slightly. "Why do you think that?"

You pulled yourself up into a sitting position, your legs dangling off the edge of the bed. "Because he's been acting weird around me. Like, he's purposely trying to avoid me."

Mikey tilted his head, blinking in confusion.

You hesitated before asking. "Is he acting the same way with you?"

He shook his head without missing a beat. "Nah. We talked last night. Everything was fine."

That only made your frown deepen. If he was normal with Mikey, then why was he being so distant with you?

"Then why is he acting like that with me?" You muttered, frustration creeping into your voice.

Mikey shrugged. "Why don't you just ask him?"

"I want to, but every time I try calling him, he doesn't pick up. It takes me like, six to seven tries a day for him to finally answer, and when I do ask what's wrong, he just says he's busy." You sighed, running a hand through your hair. "Even now, if I try calling him, I bet he wouldn't pick up."

Mikey stood up from the floor, bending down in front of your legs, eyes glinting with curiosity.

"Try it."

You sighed but did as he said, grabbing your phone and dialing Baji's number. You stared at the screen, listening to the endless ringing only for it to go to voicemail.

See.

You frowned, holding out the phone in Mikey's direction. "See what I'm saying?"

Mikey hummed, picking up his own phone from the side table and dialing Baji's number. You sat up straighter, watching in anticipation.

"Yeah, what's up man?" Baji's voice crackled through the speaker after a few rings.

Your jaw dropped.

Mikey shot you a knowing look before turning his attention back to the call.
"Meet me in an hour. I wanna talk."

"Can't we just talk on the phone?" Baji groaned.

"Nope. It's important."

A long pause, then a resigned sigh. "Fine. Just send me the address."

Mikey ended the call and looked up at you, smugness practically radiating from his expression. "Yeah, he's definitely ignoring you."

"But why?"

Instead of answering, Mikey reached up, cupping your cheeks and squishing them together. "Why don't you go and ask him yourself?"
