Your point of view.We all sat together in the park, watching Takemichi's friend play football. The gentle breeze carried the faint chatter of kids, ruffling our hair as a peaceful silence settled around us.
"Man, that was hilarious." Draken said suddenly, breaking the quiet. "You friggin' reek." He added with a chuckle.
"I washed my hair, okay?" Takemichi huffed, crossing his arms.
A few moments passed before Draken spoke again, his tone a bite more serious this time. "I was wrong, Mikey."
My head turned toward him at the unexpected confession.
"Nah, I'm sorry." Mikey replied just as earnestly, lying back with one hand propping up his head.
"Why were you guys even fighting?" Takemichi asked hesitantly.
"I forgot." They said simultaneously.
A collective look of disbelief spread across our faces.
"But Ken-chin was right." Mikey continued, sitting up and brushing dirt from his shirt. "Pah turned himself in." He stood abruptly, tilting his head back to gaze at the sky. "Let's celebrate lot's when Pah's a free man." He said with a soft smile, glancing over his shoulder.
I couldn't help but return his smile, feeling the warmth in his gesture. Suddenly, he grabbed my wrist, pulling me to my feet.
"Let's play, Y/n-chin."
Before I could protest, he was dragging me toward the group of boys playing football. They froze mid-game, startled by Mikey's interruption.
"Who would believe he's the commander of an infamous gang?" I muttered under my breath, crossing my arms.
"I wouldn't." Draken replied with a grin, stepping beside me. I tilted my head toward him as he continued. "Back in elementary school, when I first met him.. he was nothing like I imagined."
"But you two hit it off pretty well, didn't you?"
"Considering he was just a kid and was still stronger than most middle schoolers, of course, I thought he was cool."
"So, he's always been a prodigy, huh?"
"Y/n-chin, look at me!" Mikey's voice snapped me out of the conversation. I turned to see him bouncing the football on his head, showing off his tricks.
"Cool." I said, giving him a thumbs-up.
"That's all? Aren't you going to say anything else?" He asked, his eyes still glued to the ball.
"Good job?"
Draken snickered beside me, but one look from me and he quickly shut his mouth.
"Huh? You guys made up? What the hell?" Emma's voice startled us. Drawing our attention to her as she approached, hands on her hips, a shocked look on her face.
"Yo, Emma."
"I thought you two were seriously fighting." She said, crossing her arms.
"Were we?"
"I was worried, damn it." She muttered, her pout quickly turning into a bright smile when she saw me. "Y/n-san! What are you doing with them? And why didn't you pick up my call earlier?"
I pulled out my phone, noticing the two missed calls from her. "Oh.. Sorry, Emma. I got caught up in their mess."
"Well, I can see that." She huffed, then grabbed my wrist. "Come on, Hina's here too."
