Third point of view.
Under the dim glow of the streetlights, countless Toman jackets stood in perfect formation, their backs embroidered with the iconic symbol. At the top of the stairs stood the two heads. Draken took a step forward, his sharp gaze sweeping across the sea of faces below.
"This year's first meeting of the Tokyo Manji Gang will now begin!"
He wasted no time, diving straight into the events of the Christmas conflict, the battle against the Black Dragons, the chaos that unfolded, and ultimately, their victory.
"As a result of that conflict, some members have stepped forward to take responsibility." He continued. "They have something to say to all of you."
You shifted slightly at his words, already feeling the tension in the air grow heavier.
"First, Shiba Hakkai. Step forward."
Without hesitation, Hakkai climbed the stairs, turning to face the crowd. "This all started.. because of my selfish lie." He admitted, voice steady despite the guilt laced within it. "To protect that lie, I dragged my family and Toman into a war with the Black Dragons. I take full responsibility for what happened."
He bowed deeply, his voice strong despite the regret. "I'm sorry."
Sure enough, the response was immediate. Voices rose in reassurance, dismissing his apology with a chorus of "It's fine!" and "Don't worry about it!"
A small smile tugged at your lips.
Typical.
Draken waited a moment before continuing. "Next, Seishu Inui and Hajime Kokonoi. Step forward."
At the call of their names, the two stepped forward, their Black Dragon uniforms standing out starkly against the sea of Toman jackets.
Your eyes narrowed slightly. Why the hell are they here?
As if sensing the silent question from many, Inui spoke up, his tone calm and composed. "The 10th Generation of the Black Dragons lost to Toman. With Taiju Shiba stepping down, Kokonoi and I have taken over the 11th Generation." His sharp gaze scanned the crowd. "After negotiations with Mikey, we've decided to merge under Toman."
A wave of murmurs rippled through the members.
You exhaled sharply, arms crossing as you flicked your gaze between Mikey and Draken. You didn't doubt Mikey's decisions, but bringing the remnants of Black Dragon into Toman was a gamble.
A damn bold one.
Mikey finally spoke, his voice effortlessly cutting through the rising murmurs.
"The former members of Black Dragon will be given a separate division within Toman." He declared. "This division will be overseen by both the First and Second Divisions."
You barely resisted the urge to groan. First and Second?
Oh, great.
Inui stepped forward again, unwavering. "I get that you don't trust us yet." He acknowledged, his tone steady. "And that's fine. But if you ever need help, you can count on us."
Another wave of murmurs. Some skeptical, some curious. You remained silent, watching the way the crowd reacted, the subtle shift in the air.
Then, Mikey took a step forward. "Lastly, I have something to say about the Christmas conflict."
Ah, finally. The part you had been waiting for.
His gaze flicked toward you for a brief second, a knowing glint in his eyes. You nodded slightly.
