The Barbecue (Jared x Reader)

Summary: Jared and Jensen host a family barbecue. It's a special get together they have every year and this time they both have kids with their wives: Y/N and Danneel. No hate to their actual wives.

Jared was asleep in bed as Y/N made breakfast for them all. They had their three kids: Trevor, Stephen, and Oakley. Stephen went to feed the chickens. Oakley just tagged along to watch. Trevor was trying to make some goalies, preparing for his soccer match this weekend.

Y/N heard a knock at the front door and turned off the stove. She went over to their door and looked in the peep hole. She smiles widely. She unlocked the door and opened it to reveal the Ackles family.

"Hi guys, come on in!" She smiles. She opened the door more and stepped aside. She watched them come in with their stuff.

"Hey Y/N, where's Jared? He didn't answer his phone." Jensen asked.

"The big guy is still sleeping. You guys got here earlier than I expected." She says. Jensen chuckles.

Danneel hugged Y/N tightly before Y/N showed them the two guest rooms. "If anything, you guys can let the kids share the bunk beds." Y/N told her with a shrug. Danneel chuckles and looked at Jensen.

Zeppelin and Arrow ran around the house giggling while Justice stayed by Danneel and Jensen's side. "If you guys wanna get settled in, I was just starting to make breakfast. Are you guys hungry at all?" She asked them.

"Auntie Y/N, what is for breakfast?" Justice asked cutely.

"Mmmm, normally I just make some scrambled eggs with bacon and some greens from our garden." She told her. "Which I told Stephen and Oakley to collect for me." She says and went down the stairs to see if they did.

"Ah, they're still feeding the chickens." She opened the door. "Stephen, that's enough chicken food." She told him. Stephen put a thumbs up and he ran over with Oakley. "Mama!" She hugged her waist.

"Hi honey... your friends are here." She told her. As if on cue, Zeppelin and Arrow came over. "You guys go play." She chuckles. Oakley ran off with the two to show them her room and toys.

Stephen looked at Y/N. He moved his hair out of his face. "Where's JJ?" He asked.

"She's upstairs with Uncle Jensen and Aunt Danneel. If you want to, you can go play with her." She says. Stephen smiles and ran upstairs.

Jensen and Danneel walked down. They followed Y/N outside as she picked off some greens from her garden. "Is this what you do every morning?" Danneel asked her.

"It seems like a lot of work but it helps the garden thrive. Also helps us with food. Keeps the cycle rotating especially for the chickens. We have so many eggs. It's insane. I try to make meals where they'll need eggs because we just have so many." Y/N chuckles. Jensen sipped on his water bottle.

"Where's Trevor this morning?" He asked Y/N. "He's by his soccer area. Practicing. Coach has been hard on him this week on his kicks and position." Y/N admits. "He's been consistently working on it and I've gotta say, he's good. Jared helps out sometimes too." She added. Danneel smiles.

"Well once Jared's up, we can relax right?" She joked with Y/N. Y/N chuckles.

"At least for us. I don't have to cook." She says.

Danneel pointed a finger. "So true." She says. She sat down with Jensen in some chairs they had outside.

They both just relaxed. "Any water? Beer?" Y/N asked them as she picked.

"Um water's fine. Jay and I have been sharing this water bottle." Danneel told her and snatched it from Jensen. Jensen gave an offended look. "Do you wanna fight?" He asked her playfully. Danneel got up and put up her fists. "Show me what you got." She challenged him. Jensen scoffed and got up.

Y/N stopped picking and watched them. Jensen and Danneel play fight until Jensen just pulled Danneel close and kissed her. Danneel smiles wide and kissed back. Y/N chuckles and took her basket of greens inside. "Just don't have sex on the porch where everyone can see." She told them. Jensen smirked.

"We wouldn't." He joked.

Y/N went to the kitchen and washed off the greens in the sink. She heard some movement behind her. She didn't really mind it as they had 5 kids in the house playing upstairs and 1 kid outside. Noise was always going to be there. She felt strong arms wrapped around her. Someone leaned over and kissed her cheek and to her neck. "Good morning to you too." Y/N blushed. She could tell this was Jared. "Mm, why didn't you wake me up?" He asked her, nuzzling his face into her neck. "You looked very peaceful. Plus, Jensen said he tried calling you and you didn't wake up. How do I wake a beast?" She teased. "You've done it before." Jared smirked. "That was before we had kids." She joked. "Oh right." Jared joked with her.

"How's breakfast coming along? You need any help?" Jared asked, slowly pulling away.

"No, the kids already did their morning farm duties. Now we can just relax. At least until you have to cook with Jay and more people arrive." She told Jared. Jared nodded. He started to brew some coffee and made himself a cup of coffee. He hummed. "I'm gonna go say hi to Danneel and Jensen." He says and took his mug with him. He exited the kitchen, leaving Y/N alone to cook.

"Woah, good morning, love birds." Jared says, seeing Danneel and Jensen kissing and all cuddled up on one of the chairs. "And good morning, sleepy bear." Jensen teased back. Jared sat in a chair across from them and sipped his coffee. "I just needed more sleep today I guess." He chuckles. He watched Trevor practice outside. "Where's the rest of the children?" He asked the two.

"Inside. Playing." Danneel says. "You guys look exhausted." Jared said. "When's the last time y'all got sleep?" He asked. "Awhile." Danneel says and rubbed her eyes. "Same with our sex life." Jensen added, earning a slap on the arm from Danneel. Jensen smiled. "I'm joking." He told them with a chuckle. Jared chuckles too.

"That's why you hire a nanny, dude. I do that all the time with our kids so I can take Y/N out on cute dates." He says.

"We like to have our family time though." Danneel says. "It sucks but sometimes it's hard to balance that." She added. Jared nodded.

Y/N announced that breakfast was done and made for everyone. "Trevor!" Jared called out, seeing his head turn. "Breakfast!" He says before they all huddled inside to eat. Y/N had prepared all the kids plates and set them down at the dining room table. Their dining room table was pretty long. It fit all of them there. They all ate silently until the kids started to be goofy and play with their food.

"No, eat then play." Jensen told them. It seemed to work for a few minutes.

Most of the Supernatural cast, crew, some of Jared's and Y/N's family arrived for the barbecue. It was a tradition they had every year to have a summer barbecue to see people they haven't in awhile.

Jared and Jensen cooked various meats and talked with a lot of the people there. They were all very chill and laid back people. A lot of old songs played from the 60s-90s rock and pop station.

The kids kept requesting songs and Y/N allowed it once every hour.

Y/N and Danneel baked some dessert items as well as made some fruit salads, pasta salads, and vegetable plates.

Trevor played soccer with some of the family members. Misha tried to get in on the action but Trevor was too fast and made the goal.

"I did it, Mom!" Trevor jumped up and down with a happy scream. Jared looked over. "Great job, bud! Keep up the good work! We need that for the game tomorrow!" He smiles.

"You think he'll stick with it?" Jensen asked Jared.

"I think so. He's real passionate on sports." Jared says. "If this isn't it for him, we'll find something else. He adjusts really quick." He admits. Jensen nodded. "Danneel and I were thinking the same for our kids to keep them busy with something but I'm not sure." He shrugged. "Don't knock it until you try it. Sure it may be expensive but they could have fun with it or make new friends." He told him. Jensen nodded. "True." He bit his lip.

Danneel and Y/N set out the various foods they made. Jared and Jensen finished up making the last of the meats so everyone could dive in and eat.

It was a very good summer.
