Before we could find the God Apollo, it was obvious we needed to rest.
We made our way through town, staggering to keep on our feet like zombies. I made a beeline for the first least threatening hotel I could see.
The Lily Hotel.
We stopped in front, looking in through their bright windows and revolving door.
"I have a bad feeling about this," slurred Nico, his head falling onto Will's shoulder, "It's slightly familiar, and I don't do well with familiar."
"All the more reason to try it out," I sighed.
We stepped inside, the air conditioning blasting into my face.
It suddenly felt like Canada again.
A boy wearing a valet outfit popped up from behind the register, his red cap tilted sideways.
"Hiya travellers."
There were traces of a faint Texas accent in his voice, "Need a place to stay?"
We were surrounded by white marble. There were large marble staircases with golden handles and a fireplace burning even though the air conditioning was on. It was magnificent.
"Y-yes. Yes! We are; how much do you charge for your rooms?" I asked, digging around in my bag for the baggy titled accommodations.
His face twisted, and he pulled out a book full of laminated pages.
"Are you not (Y/n) Hale? Your rooms have already been paid for by our host, in exchange for an audiance with Ms. Lam?"
I had no idea what was going on. But a pre-paid room?
"Uh. Oh! Yes, Ms. Lam. What time is our meeting again?" I mumbled.
The boy pulled on his smile again, seeming to be relaxed.
"It's for 7:00 am tomorrow."
I smiled as he handed me two sets of keys.
"Thank you."
I turned around and met Liam's glowering gaze. He grabbed my elbow, yanking me closer.
"I'm not sure about this Miss, you have no idea who these people are. Did you even make a meeting with this lady?"He mumbled, his gaze drifting to our slightly spaced out looking receptionist.
"No. But if it will save us money for this trip it's okay right? Plus we really need this."
I motioned to our friends. Half of them were covered in soot and blood and the other half could barely keep their eyes open. He sighed, turning to the texas boy.
"Can you show us to our room?"
We followed him up the marble staircase down a velvet-lined hallway to two doors at the end of the hall.
"One on the left for the gentlemen and the one on the right for the ladies."
My friends piled into their rooms.
"Thank you..er." I snuck a peak at his name tag, "Elias, really."
He tipped his hat.
"Pleasure ma'mm."
With that I slipped into the room with Melog, shutting the door behind us.
"Woah."
The room held two queen sized beds, a couch, a tv, a full sized bathroom and tub, and a balcony.
"Dibs on the bathtub!" Melog shouted, she cast a glace at me like I was really going to fight her for it.
Uh, no?
