BACKGROUND

This part is simply for people who feel that without knowing (Y/n)'s background (Which is full of Trigger Warnings), they would be unable to read the book. Or would like to have a better understanding before reading the book.

Below, I will explain (Y/n)'s background so people don't realize halfway through they are personally unable to continue reading despite (hopefully) being invested.

For anyone wondering, I will post (TW: and then a quick description) and (End) before and after scenes in case anyone needs/wants to skip. 

Her background is revealed throughout the book, though! And I do not go into extreme or inappropriate detail within the book; her trauma is simply mentioned.

Hello! <3

I understand that many people experience trauma in all sorts of ways, and I hope that this document can help you better understand and gauge your feelings on whether or not you can enjoy this book.

(And if not, that is okay! There are plenty of wonderful books here on Wattpad for everyone.💕)

As I said above, I will post a Trigger warning before the scene and after in Bold letters, so it can be easily skippable. 

(Deep breath)

Okay, so I will explain (Y/n)'s background now.

- (Y/n)'s Father (Arthur) was a history teacher who enjoyed learning about Greek mythology but died when she was seven after battling heart disease.

- Because of this, her mother (Lourraine) worked several jobs to try and provide for herself and (Y/n).

- She was struggling to do so, and so (Y/n) was taken away to her relatives until her mother could get back on her feet.

- (Y/n) lived with her Alcoholic and Abusive uncle (Gus), his wife (Delilah) and two kids (Robin and Alison.)

- (Y/n) did most of the chores and took the brute of her uncle's anger-fueled beatings.

- One night, he came home drunk while Delilah, Robin, and Alison were out and groomed her.  

*SOME SPECIFICS BELOW.*

*He trapped her against the hallway wall and kissed her, his hands going wherever. 

*Luckily, (Y/n) grabbed a picture frame off the wall and smashed him over the head with it, getting away before anything worse could happen.

*DONE*

- She then tricks an old landlord lady into believing she is older than she actually is and thus gets her own apartment.

- Because she's out of that house, she slowly begins to rebuild her relationship with her mother.

- But she begins hearing a womanly voice in her head, repeating over and over the directions to Camp Halfblood, and so (Y/n) decides to leave and see where the voice wants her to go. 

- Running into monsters and finding a sword, and all of that, before making her way to Camp Halfblood!

~ As a result, (Y/n) suffers from nightmares and flashbacks.

~ Worst of all, she struggles with physical touch with anyone, especially if she doesn't see it coming, like a hug. 

But I will give you a small warning list here so you know if you're uncomfortable with any of this.

If you feel that you cannot read this book after reading through the back story, THAT IS OKAY! 

I want you all to be comfortable, and you know your own limits, so please don't push yourself just for a book. 

As I mentioned earlier, I usually don't go into immense detail during the scenes and attempt to keep it brief. 

As I said, there are hundreds of beautifully written books here on Wattpad for you to enjoy.
