Dex had exited the house, holding the front door slightly open as he looked to see Fitz had light-leapt over.
"Hey." Fitz smiled at Dex, going up towards him.
"Shh. The triplets are at Slurps and Burps with my dad, my mom is still home." Dex said, his voice quiet. "So, you're gonna have to run up to my room while I distract her. Okay?"
Fitz raised his eyebrows. "She's... not gonna be suspicious? Or want to hang out with you, have some mother-son bonding time?"
Dex scoffed, rolling his eyes."She has five children in her house." Dex stated.
Fitz furrowed his eyebrows, looking at his hands as he counted in his mind the triplets, plus Dex. Fitz tilted his head at Dex, holding up four of his fingers.
"Oh, four actual children and a husband who acts like a child." Dex smiled at Fitz, reaching over and lifting up Fitz's thumb.
"Ah." Fitz nodded, pointing his palm towards himself, before placing his hand into his pocket."Come in now, and I'll run to the kitchen. Pretty sure she's making some sort of dessert for when my dad and the triplets get back, something we can have while we have tea and talk." Dex said, backing away.
Fitz followed Dex into the house. Dex shut the door once Fitz was in, locking it after he shut it."Go." Dex whispered, gently pushing Fitz away towards the staircase.
Fitz stumbled forward and he rolled his eyes as he quickly made his way to the stairs. Dex watched for a few moments before he decided to go ahead and go to the kitchen."Was there someone at the door?" Juline asked as Dex entered the kitchen.
Dex went over to the fridge and he opened it, grabbing a bottle of lushberry juice.
"Oh, I thought I heard something outside so I checked. It was just an animal." Dex explained (lied) to his mother, looking at her.
She was making some sort of brownie-like batter in a bowl."Mmh... well, do you want to help me out?" Juline asked, looking to Dex.
Dex shut the fridge door and he fiddled with the bottle of lushberry juice in his hand.
"I kind of want to fiddle about with some gadgets since there's peace and quiet with the triplets and dad gone. Is that okay?" Dex asked.
Juline smiled at Dex and nodded.
"That's fine, sweetie." Juline said."You have fun. Your father and the triplets should be back in 2 hours or so, okay?"
Dex nodded.
"Kay. Have fun baking. It already looks good!" Dex said, walking off.
Juline watched as Dex walked away and she noticed Dex seemed to have a bit of pep in his step.Juline shook her head as she continued to mix the batter.
Did her son really think that she was that easy to fool? She knew he was hiding something... or maybe she should say someone.Juline would let the two boys have their fun. They were mature and she trusted that they wouldn't do anything bad.
Dex had successfully made it back to his room. He opened the door and he entered, shutting the door behind him and locking it.
"I don't think she suspected anything." Dex said, looking over to see Fitz was sitting on his bed.
"I feel like this was too easy, sneaking in." Fitz said as Dex went over to the desk.Dex sat down the bottle of lushberry juice on his desk before he turned around and leaned against it.
"Would you have preferred it to be harder?" Dex questioned, raising an eyebrow.
Fitz squinted his eyes, thinking about it.
"Not sure. I like a bit of a challenge sometimes." Fitz said, shuffling back onto the bed, crossing his legs together.Dex smiled.
"What do you have planned? What do you want me to do, Fitzroy?" Dex asked, tilting his head.
"Ooh, right into it? Shouldn't we like... just talk for a little bit? Get used to each other's presence before-" Fitz began.
"We got about 2 hours before my dad and the triplets get back." Dex cut off Fitz. "And who knows if my mother will decide to come up to check on me?"
"... Good points." Fitz nodded.
