"Are we sure everything is perfect?" Juline questioned as Dex was gently shoving his mother towards the front door where the rest of their family was.
"Yes! Everything is perfect. The dinner table is fine, our outfits are nice too, and hopefully the triplets will be on their best behaviour, like they promised!" Dex exclaimed.

"Stop worrying, dear." Kesler said as Juline went over to him.
Kesler placed his hand on Juline's shoulder and squeezed it as he leaned in, placing a kiss on Juline's cheek.

"Eww! Affection!!" Bex gagged.
"Oh, if you don't like affection, then I guess I'll stop loving you!" Kesler grinned at his daughter.
Bex gasped and she looked to her mother.
"Moomm! Dad won't love me anymore!!" Bex wailed.
"Kesler, please don't say such things. Bex, you too. Especially since the Vackers will be here soon and-"

There was a knock on the door.

Dex looked to his parents who seemed to be a little nervous. Dex glanced at the triplets who were fiddling with their clothes too. Dex took a deep breath and he went over to the front door, unlocking it and opening it.

"Thanks for coming." Dex smiled as he stepped aside for Della, Alden, Biana and Fitz to enter.
"Oh, of course! We couldn't not have a dinner with Fitz's boyfriend's family." Della said, entering the house alongside with Alden.
Alden gave Dex a small smile and Dex smiled back.

Biana entered behind her parents and she smiled at Dex.
"Can't wait for chaos to emerge." Biana said, quietly.
"Oh you shush." Dex rolled his eyes.
Biana giggled and she went over to greet Dex's family.

Fitz then entered and Dex shut the door behind Fitz. Fitz turned around and faced Dex.
"I've missed you." Fitz said, his voice a little quiet.
"You've seen me at school." Dex retorted, smiling at Fitz.
"Eh, not the same." Fitz shook his head.
Fitz leaned in and kissed Dex's cheek. Dex couldn't stop smiling.

Dex went up beside Fitz, interlocking their arms as they watched how their family greeted each other.
"Juline, dear, thank you for having us over." Della smiled kindly at Juline.
"Oh, well... our sons are dating. And we hope that this dinner will be enjoyable." Juline said, smiling back at Della.
"Lord Alden, lovely to have you in our home!" Kesler exclaimed, placing a hand out in the form of a fist.

Fitz furrowed his eyebrows at Kesler and his father. Kesler wanted Alden to fist-bump him as a greeting, Dex felt himself cringe.
"... Erm, yes." Alden said, glancing at Kesler's fist. "It's lovely to be having dinner as a family together."
Alden raised his own fist and he bumped his hand against Kesler's. Kesler was definitely stunned and he blinked before he grinned.

Dex looked to Fitz and Fitz looked equally surprised as Dex did.
"Erm... what did I just witness?" Dex questioned.
"... Our dads fist-bumping, apparently." Fitz replied.

"And perhaps the start of something-"
"Don't say that, please, God, no."
Fitz smiled at Dex and Dex tried his best not to smile back.

Fitz then felt someone staring at him, so he looked over to the triplets and Biana. Biana was talking with Bex and Rex and Fitz looked at Lex. Lex was staring at Fitz. Fitz blinked and he smiled at Lex, giving him a little wave.
Lex raised two of his fingers and he brought them up to his eyes and then turned his hand to face Fitz's eyes. Lex was doing that 'I'm watching you' hand gesture.

"Oh, okay." Fitz gulped, looking away towards Dex now. "I think your brother has it out for me."
"What? What do you mean?" Dex frowned at Fitz.
"He just...subtly threatened me?" Fitz said, glancing back at Lex.
Lex was talking to Biana now, a smile on his face.

"Oh you're crazy." Dex rolled his eyes.
"He's talking to Biana. Plus, he wouldn't do that."
"But-" Fitz began, frowning at Dex.
"If he does it again, I'll notice." Dex smiled at Fitz. "Maybe your nerves are messing with your head a little too. Making you see things."
Dex brought his hand up to Fitz's temple and tapped it with his finger.
"I'm not-!" Fitz began.
