It was as though everything she said was true.
"Do you know why you were able to keep this matter a secret for two years despite the misunderstanding that you had already obtained me?" She watched him with her clear, open gaze.
He responded. "It's because I didn't have the ability to give you happiness. I was working hard to catch up to Lisa..."
"No, that is only an excuse you've been relying on." Jennie shook her head. "In terms of career, you've always known that you'll never be able to catch up to him. Furthermore, you were also able to tolerate our cohabitation for nearly two years. My relationship with Lisa only makes you feel like you've lost the only person you can safely share your feelings with. It isn't love. However, you assumed that you have already loved me for years and so you were unwilling to give up. In that state, you wanted to risk everything to see if you could successfully snatch me back."
Sehun's complicated feelings were easily seen through and mercilessly exposed by Jennie.
"You've asked me a question several times: Between Lisa and you, who is more outstanding?" Jennie smiled lightly. "Now that I think back on it, it really seems like you held a grudge against Lisa, as though I was a toy you were both vying for."
"You're not a toy!" Lisa demandingly held her waist and tugged her close. She was more important to him than his own life!
Jennie shot him a smile but her gaze remained on Sehun. "Brother, you've always struggled with admitting defeat. A significant portion of your feelings for me came from your unwillingness to lose to Lisa. It was simply your pride acting up. However, you need to understand that your current actions will only hurt the person whom you truly love. You should hurry home and look for Tzuyu. I gave her a call but she has turned her phone off. You've caused such a big commotion that even Tzuyu believes something happened between the two of us. Quickly go and explain all of this to her and pursue your own happiness!"
Sehun finally appeared a little flustered. He spun around and ran for the door but paused right before he could leave. He said sincerely, "Jennie, I'm sorry!"
He apologised heavily before running out.
Jennie stood by the door side and watched as he drove out of the old Manoban family's mansion.
Lisa approached her and embraced her from behind. He spoke up coldly and heavily. "Are you disappointed that your brother doesn't actually love you?"
She turned back and shot him a glare. "Disappointed my ass. You are my only man. Just having you alone is tough enough for me to handle!"
He chuckled huskily and tightened his arms around her. "Besides you, I, Lisa Manoban, will never have eyes for any woman."
Bambam silently backed away from the living room and gave them some space.
Somi stood far, behind a corner. She took in the sight of them embracing by the door. She was so angered that her charming features nearly twisted.
How did Jennie survive after sleeping with Sehun? Wasn't she supposed to be kicked off the position of 'Madam Manoban'?
Very quickly, Lisa made use of Gao Ru to contact the woman behind all this, claiming that she had found evidence of Sehun and Jennie's relationship. However, she needed to meet her personally to hand the evidence over.
However, calls from Gao Ru's phone would not go through. The messages also seemed to have not reached anyone.
It was clear that the woman had noticed something amiss and did not dare to meet Gao Ru. She also never threatened Gao Ru again.
...
Sehun returned to his apartment in the Hong Sheng District and searched through the place urgently. However, he could not find Tzuyu anywhere. Even the clothes in her wardrobe had disappeared.
He entered the bathroom and found that her bathrobe and toothbrush had also disappeared!
