There was no one at home and Tzuyu's shadow was nowhere to be found.
He could not help but step into her room to check. He found that her closet was open and there were several shopping bags in it.
Did she come by earlier?
He checked the receipts on the shopping bags. The bills were paid yesterday at 5:00 p.m. and the signatures on the receipt belonged to Jennie.
He calculated the time and guessed that Jennie must have bought these clothes for Tzuyu the previous afternoon.
Tzuyu must have returned here last night before heading to the Kim Villa to look for him.
Sehun felt the urge to head to the Chou home to look for Tzuyu.
However, besides an apology, what else could he say to her?
Sehun felt very lost. He loved Jennie deeply and never expected this to happen between Tzuyu and himself.
His head ached badly. Rationally, he knew that as a man, and needed to take responsibility after stealing a woman's innocence.
However, he also needed to be responsible for Jennie!
Even if Jennie did not want him, he still struggled to let her go.
Sehun's heart hurt badly. He felt deeply flustered and helpless.
At the thought of what happened between Tzuyu and him last night, the only emotion he did not experience was regret.
He did not regret it.
He thought about it. After attending Jennie's wedding and confirming that she did not need him, perhaps, he could take on the responsibility as a man for Tzuyu.
He switched the television on and every major news outlet was reporting on the news of Lisa and Jennie's upcoming wedding.
He closed his eyes in pain. His heart was bleeding.
For the next three days, Sehun attended work as per normal. Perhaps, this was because he was worried about Tzuyu.
To his surprise, the shock and fright he experienced from learning of Jennie and Lisa's wedding had faded significantly.
Sehun sat in the CEO's office and frowned deeply. Tzuyu had skipped work for three days. As her boss, he would give her a good punishment!
However, he then recalled that he was the reason behind her absence!
An event like this was surely very hurtful for a girl. He immediately lost all thoughts of punishing her.
At this moment, Tian Siyu, the HR Manager, knocked against his door. She then entered the office. "CEO Kim, Tzuyu..."
"She's here?" Sehun stood up in agitation.
"No." Tian Siyu handed a letter of resignation to him. "This is the letter of resignation that Secretary Tzuyu emailed to our department. Please take a look at it."
Sehun opened it and saw that the A4 size paper listed personal matters as the reason for her resignation. Tzuyu's signature was at the bottom of the page.
He clenched his fists tightly as his handsome features turned vicious for a moment.
This damned woman. He had yet to settle the debt between them. How could she possibly run away!
He angrily dialled her number but found that her phone was still shut off.
He then drove to the Chou family's villa in a fit of anger.
As he approached the neighbourhood, he deliberated over it before purchasing some gifts at the supermarket. He then pressed the Chou family's villa's doorbell.
A female helper opened the door. She clearly recognised him. "Mr. Kim, it's you."
"Is Tzuyu here?"
"My lady isn't at home. I'm not sure when she will return."
"Hand this to her for me." Sehun left the gifts behind before driving away.
At the very least, she was safe.
Tzuyu stood in a room on the third storey of the villa. She watched through the windows as Sehun drove away.
She smiled bitterly.
So what if he came to look for her?
She did not blacklist him on her WeChat or phone. If he was sincere, he could have messaged her.
