Blue diamond, her zircon, her pearl, steven and garnet walked through the completely white, long empty halls of homeworld's courts. "Should i unfuse?", garnet asked blue, wondering how gems would react if they saw her here, "no, stay how you want and dont worry, i made sure no one can see you", blue responded, smiling back at garnet, neither ruby or saphhire had seen her like this before, what the fusion didn't know is that just before blue spoke to them she made all gems that would normally be working here leave, just so she could see garnet and make sure she was comfortable.
"So can I see what powers chalcedony has? Can I see her again mum? Please!", Steven loudly asked his mother and pearl, skipping in front of them as his voice echoed through the halls, blue diamond angrily hushed him, "did you not hear what I told you, white diamond forbid her! Saying such things out loud could get us all killed!", this quieted down steven who bowed his head and stayed in awkward silence for the entirety of the journey. "So my diamond", zircon spoke up, sweating slightly and checking some screens, she had reformed not long ago and was now wearing a much darker uniform, with glowing bright blue lines on the sides of her arms of and legs. "w-would you say the case of the ruby has ended? And have I won this case?", she walked past steven and garnet to say this to blue, nearly tripping over steven and bumping into pearl. "I'm not sure, you're alive so i see that as a win", blue responded, her voice very deep and serious, zircon gulped and walked behind her, not wanting to bother her diamond anymore.
Suddenly blue stopped, and everyone stopped with her, she turned to garnet, "do you want to see your leader?", she asked, knowing garnet did not know the truth about pink diamond, "She is not dead, in fact it's something that will shock you, something your future vision will never foresee, not even my own future vision that the sapphire inside you inherited foresaw this", garnet nodded, "yes, I want to see rose", she replied, Steven looked up to garnet, knowing she'll be very shocked and hurt by this revelation, he felt awful thinking about all the things pink must've lied to her about, sometimes he'd feel physically sick if he thought about pink diamond for long enough he'd never hated anything more than he hated her. Blue teleported her pearl, steven and garnet to just outside pink diamond's Palace, zircon had decided to stay at the court and prepare her next cases, she was one of homeworld's best zircon gems after all.
Blue for some reason wasn't able to punish pink for what she had done, she instead left her in her old palace, she could leave when she wanted but chose not to, believing she had been trapped in her room, even when blue told her she was not. Garnet looked up to the giant, shining pink palace, confused, "you're keeping her in an old building belonging to pink diamond? Is this supposed to be ironic?", she growled at blue, who smirked back at her, "no, its barely a punishment, she loved this place and I couldve done so many worse things".
The four gems walked into the old pink Palace, it was basically abandoned but kept in amazing condition by blue, still shining brightly in the day, and visited by many gems. As they approached her room, blue stood in front of the closed door, she took a deep breath and warned everyone, "garnet, this will shock you, prepare yourself!", garnet gave a thumbs up, in reality she was terrfied shed see her old leader in some sort of palace turned torture dungeon. "Steven do not hit her! I know you're very angry but please don't try and attack her", Steven shook his head, "why would I do that!", he replied, " I can read your mind don't deny it!", blue responded, laughing at him, "and pearl, your old friend is here, say hi to her!", pearl quietly giggled to this.
Everyone prepared themselves then blue slowly opened the door, only for everyone to be met with a shocking sight. Pink diamond was on her knees near the balcony, her head bowed, she was crying, there stood in front of her was her pearl, but something was wrong. She was drained of all her colour, now only black and white, standing completely still, her face frozen in a haunting smile, with her hands in that familiar pose White's pearl was in. Steven covered his mouth, blue stepped back in horror, blue's pearl looked away, and garnet stood still. Pink's pearl slowly turned her head to face them, her neck cracking as she turned, the way she moved was so unnatural, like she was a toy being played with by a child. She stared at steven, "Blue diamond, what are you doing here?", she said, but it was not her voice, it was white diamond's.
"I am... erm, we where just checking up on pink", Steven studdered, the possessed pearl then moved her eyes to look at the other gems with him, her face was frozen in a smile but blue could tell she definitely wasn't happy. "Oh moonlight, you remind me of pink here, surrounding yourself with these lower life forms, see pink you're being a bad influence to your sisters", pink diamond looked up, tears running down her eyes, she flinched when she saw steven and the other gems, she wanted to cover herself when she saw garnet, wanting to become rose again or maybe try and explain her secret.
"Both you and pink do that so you can feel better than those lower life forms because you're both the worst, you like being around fellow failures", the pearl spoke, now looking to blue diamond and not steven, blue held Steven's hand, ready to summon energy and attack in her other hand, the pearl saw this, she could see the fear in blue's eyes. "don't worry moonlight, now there's another better blue diamond, right here, and no need for you and pink", the colourless pearl then flew towards steven, trying to take him away again. Blue threw him out the way and summoned her weapon, slicing the pearl in half and destroying her form in seconds, before she could get the gem it floated away to White's ship.
"You saved me?", pink diamond exclaimed, standing up and looking at blue, who was now terrified of what white diamond was going to do. "I had to", blue said, breathing heavily and holding onto her scythe, " she was going to get you and steven!", she put her scythe back in her gem and sat down next to pink, "and I'm not here to fight, I'm here to show you your friend", blue guided garnet to see pink diamond with her hands, she was understandably confused and had many questions, pink looked at them both, "I thought you hated fusion?", she asked, "it's a long story", blue replied, looking back at her pearl who was standing in the corner and snarling at pink.
"So, this whole time you and your pearl have been secretly fusing?", pink diamond wanted to laugh, but she was the only one who seemed to find this funny, garnet could barely keep it together, preferring to stay silent and by the wall as blue and pink talked to eachother, its the only thing she could do to stop her unfusing. "Yes, we just did it to show Garnet, its the first time we've done it in a while, she called herself chalcedony, she is all me and pearl wanted to be but never could be", blue said, she hadn't spoken about this to anyone besides pearl and garnet, not even to Greg, it felt so relieving to finally talk about it, she was sick of hiding herself from white diamond.
"So, do you want to be chalcedony forever?", pink smirked, blue looked away, she hated that smirk, it was something she used to miss and cry about now it made her feel sick, steven was watching them both, he really hated pink diamond, he even found it difficult to look at her without wanting to kill her, he kept his hands by his gem, ready to pull out his scythe. "i feel like that's why you haven't killed me and garnet? You like the freedom we preached? You wanna be a crystal gem?".
Blue paused for a moment, trying to find the right words, "you and garnet can help me, I think steven is also the key to this", she said, she then moved closer and whispered into pink's ear, "I want to fix homeworld, and i think that can only happen without white diamond", pink laughed at this, her laugh was loud and painful to Steven's ears.
"oh my blue! Where did you get this revolutionary spirit!", pink said in between very loud laughs, making blue's pearl have to check if the walls where soundproof and close the door to the balcony in case white could hear how loud pink was. "you know where i got it from, I saw you talking to him", now it was blue who was smirking, "wait, Mr universe!?", pink exclaimed, blue winked at her, "oh really!? Damn it, I can't believe it! He was taken and by you!?", "and steven is my son with him", blue said, moving her angry son over to pink, he stayed silent, he didn't even wave to her, instead he looked away.
"Damn, maybe we can share him", pink winked, Steven nearly gagged, "I heard yellow also likes him!", blue joked, "she told me he might even be able to charm white!", this made pink laugh again, steven covered his ears and tried to walk away, only to be pulled back by blue. "Sounds amazing! Let him use his charm on white while we fix homeworld!", Steven looked back at pearl to help him but not even she wanted to go near that, hearing the diamonds fangirl over greg was the most disgusting thing she'd ever heard, and she had to deal with nearly two decades of blue diamond writing fanfiction about greg.
